I have been watching closely, because so much has been happening in the main Yellowstone area and beyond. Well, tonight I was doing follow up research for my EQ topic here. ( Huge, Breaking And Alarming News About Recent 4.6 and 4.8 Wyoming Earthquakes ) And lo and behold, I found this! Now this is from June or July 2015, but recently uploaded and worthy of a mention. Pity we don't have the exact date since we could then look at the seismographs for there and Yellowstone.

No matter what this is, they did experience what seems like some sort of strange earth sounds there. And this is not the place you want to be hearing them. Sure we post strange sounds from all over the world, but they are not anywhere near Yellowstone.

Most earthquakes are less than 20 Hertz and not audible. Although the volcano Redoubt, went as high as 30 Hertz. But this was right before eruption.

Turn the volume way up.

Now for something interesting that I read. But harmonic tremors usually only go up to 5 Hertz (or do they?) and from what I read, you need 20 Hertz to hear it. But weird how this sound is just as described. Could these sounds be traveling through valleys etc and being amplified? I don't know very much about sounds associated with the earth so if anyone can help...

Sounds Of The Underground.

A third kind signal comes from harmonic tremor. It sounds a bit like whale-loving or a broken trumpet. This type of signal is a bit special, as it is thought to be caused by seismic waves travelling within a gas- or fluid-rich conduit beneath the volcano. Different frequencies are amplified or cancelled-out like sound waves in a music instrument. Volcano seismologists use the changing frequencies of the signals to estimate things like pressure beneath the ground.

Considering this below video, I would have to say non hoax.

Now that I know what to look for, May 2015 (Near same date as above.), in Laramie, WY.

Same area in 2013 and this sounds heavenly!

If these are indeed naturally produced sounds, in the vein of earthquake lights, I can't help but think of disasters in the Bible. People who report "trumpets of angels" before disasters occur must have been hearing the natural sounds in question. Fascinating.

The second video blaming Warren AFB is very odd, and not far from Laramie Wyoming.
The first video in Laramie wy sounds like a long doppler affect from a train. There is a set of train tracks/big train yard (via google maps ) running right through Laramie.

S&F, i love these threads. Very uncomfortably intriguing.

I heard these sounds last year in South Eastern Montana. The sound sounds like it comes from the sky, but changes relative to the direction you are facing, and it reflects off of objects. Last year, it was SO LOUD that I could almost feel the vibration of it. This sound would go in spurts. No regular pattern that I could decipher, but it did stop and start repeatedly. I actually have a recording of it on video from last year.

Forgive me ATS, I would have uploaded it earlier but I didn't think about it until tonight. Tomorrow, if I a have enough time I will try to locate the video and share it here. The thing about this that I notice is that all the years growing up, I never heard a sound like this (besides a Jewish Shofar trumpet from a ram's horn).

The reason I'm posting on this thread is because that would make it 2 years in a row this has happened in this area of the USA. I haven't heard the sound this year, but it started around this time last year as well. I will keep my ears and my camera ready the rest of this year, and if I hear it again I will share it with ATS. Great thread!

ThatΒ΄s what IΒ΄m thinking, too. I may be wrong when I say that since these sounds going on for some time, but could not be linked to any natural disaster. Back then, it would have to happen localy, where the sounds occur.
They did not had that technology we now have, with cars, radio, etc.

the hoaxes were created soon after the real events started.
It's easy enough to spot the fakes, they don't have news crews showing up and residents complaining to authority's for a few weeks. there have been a ton of legit events, but they always are preceded with another flood of hoax trolls, so when you go looking your presented with a ratio of around 30-1 .. and you stop caring.

Geesh... that's just the way of everything these days isn't it

But this person did not upload any other videos to his account. And this one is even a year late and an afterthought. Not everyone is out for fame and fortune. I say real.

Oh i agree.

I was inferring that there is a real phenomena that's being flooded with hoaxes each time another event occurs.
At least that's been my observation over the past few years.

It's an effective way to make folks "tune out" from the whole mystery, and convienient for those who want us to stop looking.. they have a vast stable of crap to pull out each time something real happens and say.

"see.. it's a hoax"

nasty business.

That first video sounds like a diesel horn on a passing train, I can hear the doppler shift. Maybe the engineer was alerted to something on the tracks and is leaning on the air horn. Since it takes long freight trains miles to stop, what else can he do?

The original video in OP sounded like heavy machinery, I asked you in another thread if they are fracking near there?

Well said. Trolling for views or disinfo campaign to bury needles under stacks of needles?

You be the judge.

We had a rash of mysterious sounds a few years back, but did anything ever happen in the areas they were heard? I lost track of them, because it seemed every day there was a new "End of The World Sounds" video being put up and many turned out to be hoaxes. I guess that my biggest question... did anything ever happen in those areas?

Like this one.

"People reported hearing a roaring sound that lasted between one and three minutes.

It was heard in Janesville, Beloit, Milton, Evansville, Albany, Monticello, Monroe, Elkhorn and Delavan, among other communities, according to Facebook comments. The sound seemed louder and longer than an aircraft or thunder, according to the comments"

Having grown up with trains in my literal backyard and entire city and surburban areas, I disagree. I hear faint train sounds even in my present home all the time.

The sounds of their horn will never leave your mind once you have one 4 feet behind your running tush. Lol.. There are cetain spots on the tracks with no escape. I used to walk them to get everywhere. Hated when they derailed all the time behind my house.
