Charlotte is in NC, yes.
If you have a couple days to sightsee, I
highly recommend making the 1 1/2 hr drive to Asheville and visiting Biltmore Estate. It's this big
mansion built by the Vanderbilts a hundred years ago, and it's since been opened to the public as kind of a museum. Here is a link:

You can walk around at your own leisure, and they also have a winery with free wine tastings (and, if you like wine, it's really good!)
If you want to stay in Charlotte, there are lots of bars/clubs. One of my favorites is the Breakfast Club (
www.that80sclub.com... )
which plays 80s music and is lots of fun. The Hungry Duck is fun, too, as is Bar Charlotte
For food, here's a site that has lots of restaurant info:
www.charlottediningmenu.com...
I recommend: Lupie's, Phat Burrito, JoJo China Bistro, Ri-Ra Irish Pub, Southend Brewery, Crazy Buffet, Penguin, Musashi, and about a million other
places. The food here is good, from sushi to hamburgers.
And for something completely different, depending on the weekend you'll be here, I may be able to point you in the direction of some local
professional wrestling. This is the best group in the area:

(I'm not biased or anything, really!)
Heh, I hope that'll give you
something to do while you're here! Let me know if there's anything else you're interested in!
