MSM very seldom gets science right.
In the sciences going to the original source(s) is the correct course of action.

You misunderstand. Coral bleaching is not the same thing as death. With "bleaching" the coral polyps expel the symbiotic algae which give the coral its coloration. This does not kill the polyp. It is however, an indication of environmental stress. Continuation of such stress can lead to coral death.

Most of them are probably pretty well screwed once they do that. When their cousins the anemones do it they're about entirely screwed the moment they do it. At least in aquariums, perhaps in the wild they have shot of getting re-inoculated. Of course there are different families / categories of coral that these things would complicate such a discussion.

I always thought the "bleaching" part was when they are left in stone like ruins.

Yeah, you're right. I've never seen the term used like that in Reef Aquaria terminology. Hmm.

Keeping live coral in a tank is art. Not science.

Or maybe magic.

Alchemy. For Alchemists!

Some can be surprisingly resilient. Some are a terror!

I will just say that this life is not the only life and I know this because before my existence I went an unknown length of time before entering this current consciousness.

Since I don't have memory before this life started I must assume there will be another life afterward because I will return to that "pre-born" state after I die. It just makes logical sense that if I started from nothing, and end with nothing, I will likely restart from nothing.

At least, that's my twisted logic and hope.

Wow! I've stated the same thing to friends before! Same. Exact. Thing. Wording was probably different.

I wonder if we are slowly evolving into a life form that can have a 2nd chance.. Are our bodies becoming stronger enough to come back from some deaths... Maybe in the past this has happened before in some occurrences, if that were the case it's something that would take a long time for the body to perfect, sience tells us we adapt to our environment and we are living longer (for many reasons).
