I'm not nitpicking. I'm just saying it is possible for the President to pardon someone BEFORE they are charged. I would hazard a guess that IF any information came to light that made it probable for Hillary to be charged, Obama could pardon her before those charges were ever brought forward. There is already a precedent for it. It was controversial at the time but it did happen.
