Another check against Trump. Sadly Hillary still in the corruption lead by far. But I can admit to this being a pretty seriously # up.

Can you all admit Trump did the right thing by Louisiana? No buts attached.

Until then hard to take you all more seriously.

But this news is damming. Good thing I'm still in for Stein.

Since Democrats are not known for demanding investigations or participating in political witch hunts, I doubt we will see that happen.

This translates in my mind to: Democrats aren't interested in investigating corruption.

I want MORE and earnest government oversight.

If oversight and investigation into corruption are simply 'political witch hunts' to Democrats, then none of them have any business sitting on any oversight committee.

As Trump continues to surround himself with violent psycho's who support him, I wonder if he's given much thought as to what it's like when they turn on him???

Sigh... this is just one defective pixel. But it does beg the questions, how stupid do they think we are?, how stupid are they? what else will they try to get away with?

It is this last question that we always must be mindful of. I know many, not all, of us "have nots" try to find ways to get around rules, beat the system, but these "have mores" make it an art. They elevate it to such a high degree; they employ people who elevate it to a high degree. Make a rule, immediately the wealthy and corporations hire people whose job is to find ways to circumvent the rule. They get the goldmine, we get the shaft.

Not too big a deal IMO but the hypocracy in this thread is astounding. Had Hillary or even Obama done this very same thing the same posters here would be #ting their pants over it and you would see at least three threads race up.

This about Trump... not Clinton or anyone else.. just another transparent attempt at deflection on your part.

It's about Trump and a claim of corruption. Comments about the real corruption we should all care about is fair game imo. You don't get to decide how others respond.

Talking about Clinton's corruption in contrast to position this in context is not off topic and you are not supposed to attempt to manage the thread.

What baffles me are the responses above in this thread that this sort of thing is kind of okay, because Hillary likely does dastardly things too.

Can you imagine the outrage, and the committee hearings that would ensue were these actions taken by Hillary? The trump supporters would be verging on apoplectic. Every Newsroom in the country would be buzzing.

Trump wants to make Trump great again. Simple as that. As always, ATS, follow the money. Nothing Trump does is to benefit anyone other than himself.
This is what he meant by 'self funding.' Everything in his campaign funds himself.

you understand that by trying to use the supposed clinton corruption on a thread about trump corruption, you are attempting to deflect, and manage the thread yourself?

In my observations of Congress over the years, it often is who sits on the committees, how many of each party is on the committee, the partisan nature of the committee, and who is in charge of the committee. Does either the chairman or a majority of the committee wish to take up an investigation seems to be a driving force.

It's all part of the cult mentality. They create the image of Hillary as an equal the the devil himself. Then in comparison nothing Trump could ever do will ever come close to what they hold as the image of Hillary in their mind. That way they can justify anything Trump does as a result simply by comparing it with what they think she does.

Never mind any ideas of "Two wrongs don't make a right" anything like that. As long as they can show someone else on the other side as doing something worse than Trump then it justifies anything he will do that matches it.

Cult Programming 101.

Trump is their new Messiah I'm telling you. Listen to some Right Wing radio shows and stuff. They all talk about him like he's some kind of god-man here to save us all. That he's such a genius, or that he has a mind that knows the truth unlike anyone. It's unreal.

Didn't Trump start out a year ago by saying something to the effect that he 'thought he could probably make money while running for President?'

Anyhoo, I look forward to his imminent arrest for breaking election laws.

Come to think of it, when was the last time someone who no doubt richly deserved arrest was walked out of Congress, the White House or Trump Tower in handcuffs?

I'm starting to wish for built-in trapdoors running to a dungeon underneath all Federal Buildings. All we'd need to do to rid ourselves of these whackadoodles would be to pull a lever.

Ooooh, Better Idea! Trapdoors underneath the debate podiums! If enough voters push their virtual buttons - Whomp! Whoosh! End of PITA campaigner!

That would be so cool to watch all of them get arrested like that. Just a single file line of them all in cuffs walking out of government buildings into awaiting trucks to haul them off and crowds of people cheering everywhere.

It's scary part that people actually believe it. It's going to be an eye opener if he wins and those dreams don't come true.

The only thing he will do is lower taxes for the high end incomes and maybe push for more world wide warring.

I'd say most of our government and politicians need to be walked out in chains. Not just Trump or Hillary.

We all know it's completely broken and corrupt. Yet because it's what we have we keep trying to work with it because revolutions are effing scary.

It wasn't my comment, but in my view this action by Trump must be discussed in context. It's minor and unlikely to be anything sinister given he just bought some books to hand out in goody bags.

The most sinister corruption to be concerned about in my view is that of The Clinton Foundation and the pay to play allegations linked to millions in speaking fees. This is just an extremely minor point which I believe just deflects from Hillary's terrible few days.
