Woah. Talk about overkill. One would imagine the spontaneous combustion would do the trick without the danger the carton of M-80s would pose to anyone around.

Don't worry about high school. You'll survive. If you plan to do any sort of aviation engineering I suggest you get a start on your useful maths now. Trigonometry is essential in almost all force analysis systems. Learn your trig well. After that, make sure your manipulation skills in algebra are solid.

Your guitar class will be fun; you'll do more than play yankee doodle. When you hit 15 you can start looking for jobs you can work and start putting aside money so you can build the flight system you were telling your dad about. Build it and prove the man wrong.

You seem eager to mature and go into the aviation world. I wish you the best of luck.

Dude, checking out the opposite sex is part of making friends.

You don't have to let it distract you from your grades, but don't think you have to completely shut it out of your life either.

Understand, the easiest times in your life to meet, mix, and mingle with people your own age in large numbers will be in high school and college. High school is the best time to cut your teeth on those courting social skills that will help you land a serious mate later on in life.

But don't completely lose the opportunity.

Trust me, I was focused like a laser on my grades too. I had to be because I was poor, but that didn't stop me from making some time learn about guys.
