Hollweird does try to influence the masses, but the anti gun message has been coming out of these guys for years and look what effect it's had. Gun sales are skyrocketing and no one is swallowing their BS anymore. The anti gunners can try all they like, our guns are staying.

Have ya ever noticed....When the anti gun folks don't get what they want, they whine, cry, throw a tantrum and basically threaten to hold their breath till they get their way? Just like in this movie?

It's entertainment with an agenda.
There seem to be a lot of those the last few years.
Look at Tarantino's films - every one has to have a black "avenger" type and slavery is made constant mention of while Whites are portrayed as stupid racist rednecks. It gets old and tired, any type of "formula" movie because he is pushing certain perceptions especially of history.
When you leave politics out of movies they tend to be much more creative and entertaining.

Like everywhere else, Hollywood isn't a hive mind. There are lots of different people making movies with different ideas. You can always depend on Clint Eastwood to make movies where lots of people die violently. It's his thing. Other people make romantic comedies. Other people make movies advocating peace and love.

There are lots of movies to choose from that have the message you all want to see involving killing and shooting. No need to get upset about this one movie.

People will generally never do what they are told if possible and stick it to the man, if they wanted to make it unpopular to own a gun they'd be ramming down 'buy a gun' down peoples throats and you'd have Obama tell you its your patriotic duty to not feed your kids but to buy another ar-15 etc.
