Hello writers and lurkers of ATS

I had planned not to join ATS until Jan next year, but I needed some feedback on a personal project.

I discovered ATS back in January this year after something odd happened and I was doing some research
and I thank all you posters who have provided me with info and laughs ever since.

I currently live in the NE of England, in my early childhood until I was 11, I lived in Bangladesh, I then spent
2 years in southern India, Tamil Nadu. Before my family took up permanent residence in England. I have since
lived and worked in West Midlands, Wales, London and East Anglia and now I'm up North.

I hope to have a fruitful membership here on ATS

Have fun and prosper ya'll

I'm a citizen of Great Britain. I am following the election campaign in America but it is not for me to choose but Americans.

My primary interest so far has been the actions and manner of MSM both in the US and how its reported here in the UK. The tribalism is interesting, and yes I do feel more charitable to one side of that binary question, but a large part of that emotional response is my disgust at the media and my growing disquiet with all western governments and a particular toxic ideology which is seemingly seeking to control the way we think in a very clumsy and condensing manner.

Edit: I meant condesending, condensing kind of works for different reasons

a warmish welcome from newcastle.
just out of interest how do you feel the british press is treating labour?
is corbyn under mass media persecution or is labour at assault from communists?

I voted for Blair in '97 it was my first general election I graduated from Uni but had stuck around for another year doing supplementary courses that were supposed to make me more employable. I was caught up in the change I bought into it, even to this day when Blair speaks I find him to be seemingly genuine, however actions speak louder than words, its quite possible he believes what he say's, but I feel that believe is temporary, he is probably a method actor. I did not vote for his third term, my political childhood was over. As to your question I believe its both, there is return of the Trotsky's with some familiar 80's attitudes, and the British press spins spins and spins and spins somemore, on behalf of the rather quaint elites

Thank you, the username was not a conscious play on the good Doctor, I was just being whimsical, interesting what patterns show up...I hope that's what you meant, otherwise excuse my muppetry.

Thank you

I'm trying to write a piece of fiction.

I'm a bit clumsy when it comes to writing, and so far don't like what I have written. So I decided to get some external feedback on the character development. I'm trying to flesh out the principal character by developing his philosophical movement. I have just written the initial outline of the societal revolution this character is trying to instigate. I plan for this to be a three POV story, the revolutionary, the nihilist and the innocent(ignorant - willful?).

My plan was to post part of an outline of the movement espoused by the revolutionary character, and ask for people to give their opinion, the character will be full of contradictions all revolutionaries are, I just don't want to write a farcical character in this role. So I need some external perspective.

Hello and Welcome Sir
Welcome to the Multiverse of ATS.
Have a lovely stay.
The "Collaborative Writing" forum sounds like the place for you.
BTW you don't appear "clumsy".

Just curious do you have any good recipe's you could fit in to your tales?
