a federal judge just ordered Hillary Clinton to answer written questions regarding why the server was set up the way it was. Those questions come from Judicial Watch. She will probably blame Colin Powell as We Know.

That's a bunch of BS!!

Not what you said, that part is true but she doesn't have to answer any follow up questions!

She (her staff) can write anything BS they want and take their time to spin it anyway they want and it counts as sworn testimony. Case closed, again!

Face punch!

I don't like it.

Seems to me Hillary is not lying.

1. Powell did use his personal email account.

2. Powell stating "no recollection" - - is not a "NO, I didn't"

3. Powell's principal assistant is verifying Powell did send Hillary an email about his use of his personal AOL account.

The notes from the FBI's interview with Clinton, conducted during its probe of the issue, reveal that she told investigators that Powell had advised her to use a private account.

Additionally, an excerpt from journalist Joe Conason's upcoming book . . .

In the book, Conason recounts a scene at a dinner party in 2009 -- attended by other former Secretaries of State, including host Madeleine Albright, Condoleezza Rice and Henry Kissinger, in addition to Powell -- where they each offered Clinton guidance and advice as she prepared to take the reins of the State Department.

According to Conason's book, it was at this dinner that Powell told Clinton to use a personal email account.

As the Times reports, Conason wrote,"Toward the end of the evening, over dessert, Albright asked all of the former secretaries to offer one salient bit of counsel to the nation's next top diplomat. Powell told her to use her own email, as he had done, except for classified communications, which he had sent and received via a State Department computer."

Reached for comment, Powell's team told CNN he has "no recollection"of the conversation described in Conason's book, though he did provide her a memo regarding his own email use at the State Dept.

Powell Principal Assistant Peggy Cifrinio's said in a statement that the former secretary of state did write Clinton an email memo describing his use of his personal AOL email account for unclassified messages.www.cnn.com...

1. There was no email system in the state dept to send unclassified emails at that time, so he used AOL.

2. see #1

3. Lol, was it classified?

Hillary is twisting what he said. Funny how she remembers the conversation and Powell doesn't remember telling her to put her own server in her bathroom and "don't tell anyone", isn't it?

Oh, Ha, Ha, Ha - - you think I didn't read everything.

Look, your bias is more the clear from your many anti-Hillary posts.

I made it clear that I read multiple perspectives. Choosing the one that made the most sense.

I tend to believe Colin Powell over Hillary.

So what we have here is a story that has Hillary lying to the FBI when they questioned her.

I don't know. Hillary's story makes perfect sense to me. The fact is, she did not come up with the private email server idea on her own. She is not very technically competent, by her own admission she doesn't even know how to turn a server on, and she has so little idea of how any of that technology works that she doesn't even know what a server does.

This is something I've been wondering about for a while in this case. Someone must have told her to do this, and her senior aides aren't overly tech competent either which leaves the question of who did it. A former SoS, who probably learned it from one of his predecessors or perhaps some random tech advisor is a good explanation.

As far as Powell not remembering the conversation goes. After the treatment of Hillary, he has reason to lie. Or perhaps it was such a minor deal to him that he really doesn't remember.

This is obviously leaked from the Democrats supporting
Hillary. They think this was a smart idea?

This makes her look very ...er ...dumb.

BtS--- you think this makes just HER look dumb?
T&C requires me to continue. When Powell said he used the
AOL account for all his personals-- and a secure government
computer for all the State business;
I could see a Dem analyst on Fox look like he was about to be
celebrated with a five gallon Gatorade pail fulla holy water.
Only full frontal. Priceless. Busted. Spin this.

I don't understand why so many of the anti-Clinton/pro-Trump people are so upset? After all, she admitted that it was a mistake to use a private email server.

Doesn't that automatically wipe the slate clean so she can start filling it up again?

That's a Trump only thing?

I think she'll need to get through her perjury hearing first. We'll see what Comey et al say about it under oath.
I hear it's been scheduled in another 14 hour slot and will be televised.

The production cost for all this kabuki is starting to exceed the
'65 "Cleopatra". And she ain't Dame Liz Taylor. Never was.

comparing the magnitude and implications of the alleged transgressions.

Guess who didn't tell her to do it?

Senior State Department Security personnel!

She was urged by them repeatedly to stop using her personal BlackBerry and the personal email.

Yes, it does appear the race card is only applicable when it is played against conservatives.

You got it backwards.

She had the server set up before she "talked" to Powell.

Then who told her about it? Hillary has no idea what an email server is. Someone had to have given her the idea.

Huma Abedin dishes: Hillary Clinton set up private server before secretary term

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton began planning use of her secret email address even before she took office in January 2009, top aide Huma Abedin said in sworn testimony this week, raising questions about why no emails from her first few months in office were part of the set she returned to the government.

Ms. Abedin said “technical difficulties” forced Mrs. Clinton to give up the AT&T account she used as a senator, but said her boss’ choice to use her own personal BlackBerry connected to a server she kept at her home in New York was based on convenience, not an effort to thwart open records laws.

And what does that have to do with my point? Hillary has no idea what goes into setting up convenience. For all she knows it could just be having another email account, not necessarily an entire server.

Someone planted the idea in her head, it wasn't a plot she came up with on her own. Powell is a reasonable explanation since he held the office previously and knows how things work. Rice would be an explanation too but I don't think Rice/Clinton are on speaking terms.

I would also bet anything that John Kerry is doing the same thing right now.

So you're saying Huma is the person who told Clinton to set it up? Do you think Huma knows what an email server is?

I wonder what will happen if ISIS or Russia or Iran tell her to do something? Looks to me like she'd just fold.
