I agree each case is different which is why I asked about your comment about the bumper sticker.
It shouldn't matter to the cops what bumper sticker is on your car. Last I knew you could put whatever bumper sticker on your car you wanted; without fear of reprisal from the government.

precisely. I agree with you.

Trigger happy cops my grass. The city cops are worried about one thing: keeping people safe. Milwaukee cops aren't bad guys. Seriously. They're really nice, actually. One stayed to make sure we were safe when a tire blew out on our car. Gave us an escort back home. Offered to help.

The guy who got shot was being stupid. End of story.

Wanna know who kills black people in this city? Other black people. Black on black crime is huge in Milwaukee. It feeds the cycle of poverty and illiteracy and contributes to reverse discrimination.

I've lived around the area for the last 13 years. I've driven in all parts of the city at all times of night. You're safe for the most part if you're white--not so much if you're black. My friend's five-year-old niece got shot in the head while sitting on her grandpa's lap while watching T.V. because some nutcases thought that drive by shootings would be a good idea. Black on black crime. It's horrible. That's the real issue we should be looking at.

Yes, bad cops are out there. But no, this case wasn't caused by a bad cop--it was caused by an armed criminal who didn't use his brain. The cop in this case was just doing his job--keeping people safe.

I'm all for rooting out bad cops and getting rid of them--but to demonize all cops is literally idiotic. If you hate cops that much, you must be really stupid or something. It's called treat them with respect and they'll respect you. It's called don't make yourself a threat. It's easy. Don't be militant and #ty with cops when they're just doing their job--or if you do decide to be a poophead, don't complain, then, when you get shot.

And if they're going to arrest you--SHUT THE HECK UP. Don't resist. Be pleasant. And ask for your lawyer. If you're not being arrested, ask them nicely if you're being detained or if you are free to go. Just play it by ear. But never antagonize them. I see so many videos of people being absolute morons with cops, thinking they know their rights when really all they know is how to be a smartgrass. IF you know your rights, then you already know to JUST STAY SHUTTING UP. Let them do their job, don't give them trouble, and the whole thing will be painless.

DUH.

I can't believe people here don't realize that it's things like this that destroy the legitimacy of BLM. I'm all for what they stand for, in theory, but it's things like this that damn the whole movement. It's going to do the EXACT OPPOSITE of what they want BLM to do. Mark my words.

They might have a leg to stand on if they didn't repeatedly go full retard & keep supporting the blatant POS criminals alongside actual innocent people. That should be everyone's first clue BLM is full of crap with their "message" and are simply flagrant manipulators. Falling for that is the definition of "S# for Brains".

its a shame that those responsible for doing F the police chants can't be put on some blacklist for when they actually need the police

For example

Mr A Example was caught chanting F the police
Mr A Example is put on a blacklist
Mr A Example has a relative or loved one who has been kidnapped/murdered/assaulted or their homes/cars have been broken into
Mr A Example rings 911 to report a crime
911 dispatcher checks list "oh sorry Mr Example but you were caught chanting to F the police, we can't help you im afraid, Goodbye"

I think Chris Rock himself says it best in this short educational public service announcement.

It should be mandatory watching for anyone involved in these riots. Had this recent convicted felon actually heeded Chris' advice, he would be alive today, and the local businesses still selling their wares, paying local taxes toward the public facilities, and the local employment opportunities intact.

SMH.

It doesn't matter the race, or the nation. People who don't have a job to report to will insted get up to trouble. Be it gang activity, riots, terrorists in the middle east....its people with nothing better to do than make trouble. And we could go into the common psychology behind why people do it, but that kind of stuff is freely available online.

Yes, this is another plug for more libertarianism and less liberalism.

Regardless of what race it is, or what continent it happens on, rioters are never made up of people who have something going for themselves. Its made up of people who've really got nothing to lose.

Tax payers pay for services. Period.

besides, that chant is from one of my favorite songs by NWA, and borne of a time and place that makes it pretty reasonable as far as sentiments go.

I understand people pay their taxes but if you are saying F the police but still expect them to come and help you when you're in trouble would be a bit of a joke

It's like over here in the UK our fire service a few years back were going on strike due to low pay for the dangers they get involved. I went and spoke to some of the fire fighters at a local fire station and while they were on strike standing their with signs such as 'Honk your horn if you support us' while many drivers did so and supported them there were others to which i actually witnessed shouting things such as 'Get on with your job!' Yet these people would be the first to call the fire service when their house is on fire and not realise the dangers of simply putting out a fire

Just tying to say .. Don't slate off the emergency services then expect them to come and do their job when you need them. Sorry i sound like a moaning sod but it's just my view

Anyway I kind of liked NWA too

BLM should have been stopped before it got started.

That's all I have to say on it.

Im more of a "take care of your own" kinda guy. I'd rather see LEO in general reduced to a shadow of their current footprint.

Regardless, while i agree that there is irony in the situation, the fact of the matter is: the police have a monopoly on violence, at least in most urban centers. So when words no longer work, you're only legal option is to call the police and hide behind them.

its sad that people accept living in such situations....but is the way city folk live.

Yeah I'm with you I guess we all have difference of opinion but I respect what you have to say. I think policing is a lot different over in the states than it is here in the UK. I guess I'd have to experience LEOs in the US to get a better grasp at what it is like

I think that, for the most part, people are the same where ever you go.

When i was younger someone mentioned that extremist muslims in the middle east was their version of "rednecks". I started noticing that there are rednecks in each/every major culture in the world.

There are minor variations....but for the most part people are the same. we are all just trying to make it through life while holding on to those we love.

I suppose what doesn't help my father was a police officer in the UK for 22 years so my views can be a little biased sometime I've just never understood cop bashing. I know and I've witnessed by dad risk his life to prevent someone getting hurt and I've heard stories of him pulling someone from a car wreck. We hear more about the stories of officers doing something bad rather than some of the good things they do

We live in one crazy world that's for sure

Not to get all musical nerd on ya, it's really a NWA's song-which Ice Cube was a part of NWA, and was one of the writers of the song

You can see the attitude of BLM in that song. A part of it, "[P]olice think they have the authority. To kill a minority"

As it stands now, a law biding black police man shot and killed a black man committing a crime. A "black life" was going to end with that confrontation, but BLM sides with the criminal over the person who most people would say is the more positive influence, the one they would like as a neighbor...

Haha, oops. Yeah, I'm not really a fan of rap. Thanks for the correction. :-)

If the BLM folks wanna beat up white people because they're white, and destroy their own neighborhoods for no good reason instead of going to the source and dealing with it, I say give all those ignorant animals what they deserve and let Buddha sort them out. There are far better ways to handle this than what they are doing, too much misplaced rage, and no intelligent leadership.
