Violence erupts after officer-involved shooting (Milwaukee, WI)

Gracing the front page of DrudgeReport is the title Unrest Milwaukeee. Here's a link from my local station.

standoff between police and an angry crowd turned violent Saturday night in the hours after a Milwaukee police officer shot and killed an armed suspect during a foot chase on the city's north side.

After an hours-long confrontation with officers, police reported at 10:15 p.m. that a gas station at N. Sherman Blvd. and W. Burleigh St. was set on fire. Police said firefighters could not for a time get close to the blaze because of gunshots.

Anyways, growing up in this area I have to say, Milwaukee is an especially segregated city. And it works. Most of the time. Killings usually stay in the inner city and northside. Accidents happen sure, but lately. Oh God, lately. The anti-cop rhetoric coming straight from the POTUS mouth is filtering down to the lowest of the low like a toilet being flushed.

Tempers are flaring everywhere. Now it's hitting home. Great.

That's the issue. In a MAJORITY of these cases people are committing federal crimes. Felonies.

Secondly this is a state matter and not federal. The feds have no jurisdiction with the exception of a civil rights violation.

There are shots fired all the time in Milwaukee. But tonight, this event, not sure if it's related. No idea where these specific shots were.

You can partly blame our horrible liberal mayor, Tom Barret. When he says, " all-out-effort" to restore irder, be sure he doesn't mean it. This works in his favor as it juices up those more likely to vote for him.

Yup, I looked over at my bike, then thought about the five Littles sleeping upstairs, my wife.... you get the point.

As a white guy it's literally dangerous to rude through those areas of Milwaukee. And right now, let's just say we're a little worried.

Common misconception. A felony is not a Federal Crime. It is simply one that can be punished by a year or more in jail.

On the flip side; next thing you know, this armed man is going to be an innocent unarmed prayer breakfast leader feeding homeless children in his spare time from working at the elderly clinic.

The shooting was being investigated by the state. The officer was wearing a body camera, Barrett said.
