Illuminati Party Challenges

Hi ATS,

Not sure if this is in the right place (feel free to move me), but i wanted to share these two puzzles with you I picked up at Defcon 24 last weekend. They are both for the Illuminati party that is at Defcon every year, and is run by Masons (insert tinfoil here). Its really just some fun, but get ready to test your brain. Puzzle 1 is a lot easier than Puzzle 2.

Puzzle 1 - (hint - I included 2 shots because of color)






Puzzle 2 - (hint - pigpen)



Ive solved the first one already, and am working on the 2nd one which features some heavy layered encryption. Anyways, I hope you enjoy ATS!

Cryptography puzzles can be really confusing if you dont know a lot about cryptography.

OK ill throw you another hint. The first puzzle separate the letters and numbers by color, then separate them further by looking for something maybe like binary and something like hex ;-)

I still havent solved the 2nd puzzle. On the face the first bottom cypher is pigpen. I havent figured out the underlying cipher. I know its not Caesar =) as for the back with the shapes i have no idea.
