If our tax dollars were being spent smartly and efficiently, then you'd have a point.

But they aren't.

So you don't.

False equivalency. Efficiency of tax expenditure doesn't mean that tax rates don't have a floor nor does it mean that government shouldn't grow. Try again please. This time try to use that grey organ in your head before typing.

Why not just get rid of income tax and have a flat sales tax. Then you get to tax rich people more and I get to tax drug dealers and illegals more. Win-win for everybody. Write me in as your vote.

Have you actually done the math to see if that would be a 1-for-1 exchange of source of incomes? Or are you just doing fuzzy accounting math in your head and assuming things will just work out?

But socialists have MADE it their business because they can only function in a class-conflict society.

lol OH db I do so love your grand sweeping statements.
Which socialists prey tell made this happen?

Republicans have never asked to see tax returns? come on.

It's no one's business what you make. Your salary is your business. Your net worth is your business. It is not my business. It is not the business of politicians, what you make!

Yeah i agree, to an extant, but that doesn't answer my question. Don't make grand sweeping statement for the heck of it cowboy

Insult me to your hearts content.

I think you are wrong in wanting government to take more money and grow bigger.

This is not freedom.

This is socialism. I know you want that, but there are those of us that don't.

I don't care about her taxes, I don't care about Trump's taxes

I don't care about her grades in college, I don't care about Trump's grades

I don't care about them releasing their health records, but I think someone qualified should look them over and say if they are fit for active duty

this election is a choice. You have Clinton and the establishment dangling their shinny object of the day. Trump and the average joe, trying not to get distracted with the same shinny objects.

Tax Returns only show what you made in a given year in INCOME. They do not show how much you are worth. Income and wealth are two entirely different measures. You can be a millionaire/billionaire and have very little income. For example, if I own $10 million in Apple stock, I am very much a millionaire. However, if I don't work (I'd sit on my ass if I owned $10 million in stock of any company), I could have a taxable income of $0.

Being worth billions does not mean you make billions per year. It just means if you sold all your assets at fair market value, it would equate to billions.

On the other hand, you can make millions per year in income and technically be bankrupt or have a negative net worth. If you have a ton of liabilities and spending every dime you make, you technically are broke. Go ask any Rapper, athlete, or dumb hollywood actor how they manage to make tens of millions of dollars per year and still wind up broke.

Quite frankly, I don't want to see Clinton's or Trumps tax returns because at the end of the day, it is nobody's freaking business.

Most of the public is too financially illiterate when it comes to the tax code and income to pass any judgment about anyone's taxes.

For Trump, it is a no win situation. Absolutely nothing positive comes from him releasing his tax returns:

If Trump released his returns and he makes as much as he claims, pays a boat load of taxes, and makes large charity contributions, he will still be branded as RICH.

If Trump released his returns and doesn't make as much as he claims, he is going to be called a liar.

If Trump released his returns and he doesn't donate enough to charity, he is greedy.

There absolutely nothing positive that comes from Trump releasing his return. NOTHING.

It just sounds like a good idea. Everybody has to buy stuff. Not everybody reports their income.

WTFC...Really. They file Disclosures about what they make...own...liabilities...it is already there to look at but it is still RELEASE THE KRAKEN, uh, TAX RETURNS.

I DNGAF what Hillary pays in taxes because she uses the Clinton Foundation to travel, eat, etc as a personal write off so seeing what tax % she pays means nothing. You people as so dumb sometimes. Yeah, I said it. I am tired of the left bs on this site calling us all dumb when you follow someone who is the MOST corrupt politician ever as a lemming.

I am looking at Tax Plans. Taxing the rich more does not help me or anyone else who pays taxes. The rich have ways to cushion themselves not the Middle Class. I also do not care about rates for low income earners. They all get big ass tax returns which is more than they even paid while the hard worker gets back some money that was his.

Hillary wants to leave the tax code alone for the lower 95%. We are already overtaxed and she wants to make no changes. This 15% effective tax they say is there no is BS. You pay close to 30% of your salary in taxes. Trump wants a flat 12%.

Government does not have to grow. Where did you get that bunk from?

If anything, government should be getting smaller if the programs were working. Gotta love libtard logic. Let me demonstrate. Let's take food stamps.

In liberal government world, food stamp growth is a good thing! Hey, we are giving out more food stamps! Of course, no one stops to say wait a minute. If more people are needing food stamps isn't something wrong? Maybe these programs aren't working? If your goal is to eradicate poverty, shouldn't we be measuring based on decreasing use of food stamps as that would mean more people are not dependent upon the government? If more people are using food stamps that isn't a good thing.

Edit:

Just to add how crazy this mindset is... look at the typical liberal platform. It is about handouts. It is never about changing things so people can be successful on their own. they brag:

We give out more unemployment, more student loans, etc.

We take more money from you.

Of course, this need for government to grow position changes as soon as you start talking about the military.

The FEDERAL government should be as small as possible. It should be so small it hurts. The less the Feds do, the further away we get from bureaucrats tyranny. If you want government to take care of you from cradle to grave, it should be done at the local level where people have the FREEDOM to move away from you nutbags. This is why we have cities and states.

Her personal tax records. She still hasn't released last years records for the Clinton Foundation.

Hmm. Wonder why?

Oh what, the FBI is doing a probe into the Clinton Foundation? Pure coincidence

So, "we're" gonna make this all about Hillary?

And ignore that Trump refuses to release his tax info.

Deflection.

You're really not making any sense. More buzzwords with zero substance. You also don't understand the purpose of releasing tax returns. Whatever though. I'm only here to make fun of this website.

Will she lower or raise taxes.

I could care less how much she made or paid. I don't care how much anyone made or paid.

Why, as a society, have we invested ourselves so much into how much a person makes? It's none of our business how much Hillary made.

It's a contrived, artificial metric to measure people against each other.

The US is one of the least taxed nations in the world. There comes a point where taxes can only be lowered so much before they cannot be lowered anymore and the government will be unable to continue to run. Thus you are eventually going to have to accept that taxes WILL have to be raised at some point in the future. It could be Hillary doing it, or it could be a completely different President after Hillary leaves office. It doesn't matter. The Republican wet dream of always lowering taxes is going to bankrupt the country if it continues unabated.

Bull. Government does not have to grow. Taxes do not have to be raised.

Salaries and what people are worth is no ones business. But socialists have MADE it their business because they can only function in a class-conflict society.

This has nothing to do with the evil "socialists", this is a long standing tradition going back to the 1960s. It is about transparency and a gesture to the American people. A Presidential candidate saying, "Hey, I'm asking to represent all of you as the leader of our country, so in return I'm going to open myself up to you and show you I have nothing to hide."

And yes, Government should grow just as economies should grow. Like it or not, you depend on government services and spending just like everyone else does in this country.

Other people care, about both of their tax returns. If Trump releases, you or Xuen will be the first to post it.

In our gotcha world of politics, there is no point in releasing tax returns. They will be spun, taken out of context, etc. This is especially true for conservatives since the media will demonize anyone with any inkling of financial success.

Tax returns only tell you so much.

Transparency is releasing transcripts of speeches given to Wall Street banks. Transparency is showing who is donating money and for what causes.

Income taxes won't really show any of those influences....

Tax returns dont mean squat, HRC makes millions funneled through the phoney nonprofit, when you peel back the onion it will show how many dems and repubs are on the dole selling america off piece by piece.
She will never be held accountable unless Trump wins.
