Assistant Chief Russ Hamill of the Montgomery County Police told reporters Thursday that two bodies were found in the ruins and that the scene would be handled as a “death investigation.” The identity of one of the bodies has led some to speculate, especially following the revelations about murdered DNC staffer Seth Rich this week.

The headline alleges that another DNC staffer is dead, yet the article itself says:

“No bodies have been identified at this time,” the police chief told surrounding media. “It is very likely that DC staffers, including political types, live in this building.”

It clearly states that neither of the two bodies have been identified. Just the kind of honesty I'd expect from a source called "Christian Times Newspaper".

I'm thinking the deaths may be incidental to the real motive of destroying potential evidence of other crimes.

Will wait and see what else is reported.

I neither stated nor implied any such thing, thank you.

Looks like a gas explosion:

Residents of a Washington apartment complex where two people died after a massive explosion say they 'smelled gas' in the days leading up to the deadly blast.

Along with the two people who were killed, several remain missing and at least 34 were injured in the incident shortly before midnight on Wednesday.

In the wake of the explosion in Silver Spring,Maryland, shocked locals have hit out at authorities for ignoring their calls about alleged 'gas leaks' near the building.

'I've been smelling gas for weeks. I called 911, they came and told us it smelled like incense,' Adrian Boya told the NBC Washington. 'That's pretty sad. It's like they didn't take us seriously.'

Breaking? Hardly - I can't find bugger all about this already-happened event? Can't find anything verifying this allegation that it's a DNC staffer.

Nothing, except Christian Times News. All other sites running this (from a google search of your title) source back to CTN.

WTF, over.

Is there a reason we can't all wait around for the evidence like ... who was blown up and perhaps why.

I want to find out, so, let us wait around for some crumbs from LEO.

I've been burned by using them as a source before and have had to thrash a thread because of them.

See my previous post. It's bad when the Daily Mail is the more credible source.

There we go, the actual story and no mention of one of the fatalities allegedly being a DNC staffer.

Who wooda thunk?

This is a local source, they also have no mention of DNC staffers living there:

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (ABC7) — Police confirm two people are dead and others remain unaccounted for following a massive explosion and fire at an apartment complex in Montgomery County, fire officials announced Thursday.

Sources tell ABC7 a third body was spotted and officials have reason to believe additional victims are in the rubble.

I wonder if all the folks who flagged this bothered to actually read and/or investigate the claims?

Research used to be a thing.

during election season, logic and common sense flies out the window.

but if the speculations are true , then we should all be concerned.
this is a bit beyond just a presidential race, I don't think who ever would be pulling the strings would be careless or so conspicuous.

but so far it was just negligence that led to the explosion

Logic and common sense?

Get outta here...

Occams Razor would agree that this was just an explosion. I think it's pretty baseless to say that this is some sort of conspiratol attack to silence or kill off DNC staffers. There's nothing that points to that whatsoever minus an obscure internet blog.

But I digress... everything on the Internet must be true.

Since when did real life become Hot Fuzz?

But you know, those are all just tragic accidents ... for "the Greater Good."

Just a gas leak ... nothing to see ... move along. Tragic accident.
