UN Backs Secret Obama Takeover of Police
International org calls for federalization of U.S. law enforcement to be 'beefed up,' cover all of America
by Robert Romano | Updated 04 Aug 2016 at 3:07 PM
“The Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice has provided oversight and recommendations for improvement of police services in a number of cities with consent decrees. This is one of the most effective ways to reduce discrimination in law enforcement and it needs to be beefed up and increased to cover as many of the 18,000-plus local law enforcement jurisdictions.” That was United Nations Rapporteur Maina Kai on July 27, a representative of the U.N. Human Rights Council, who on the tail-end of touring the U.S., endorsed a little-known and yet highly controversial practice by the Justice Department to effect a federal takeover of local police and corrections departments.

Where the hell you get Obama hands over policing to UN? People should read the link provided by Tucket.

Scary to realize the UN representative is criticizing the US police state for violations of International Law when it comes to protest, freedom of assembly, equal rights, etc. I thought we were the example to the world.

US is off the rails.

These discriminatory laws and practices need to be seen in the larger context. Wall Street bankers looted billions of dollars through crooked schemes, devastating the finances of millions of Americans and saddling taxpayers with a massive bailout bill. Yet during my mission I did not hear any suggestions of a “War on Wall Street theft.” Instead, criminal justice resources go towards enforcing a different type of law and order, targeting primarily African-Americans and other minorities.

This is total garbage. The framework for DOJ involvement was created by 42 U.S.C. § 14141, in 19freakin'94, 10 years before Obama took office as POTUS. He wasn't even a state senator yet. ##SNIPPED##

Even if Obama did do this, the UN is an impotent group that does nothing but pass resolutions that nobody follows. They can't even pass out food to third world nations.

Or maybe it's merely the result of overt bigotry and racial hatred overcoming common sense.

Too right!

I for one have been pleading for moves like this and so have many others.

The treatment of Black Americans by so many PDs is pretty disgusting and is causing international outrage. When a SWAT team descends on a skinny 23 year old woman holding a kid, executes her in front of her five year old son and shoots him, too, we know something has gone terribly wrong with policing and bureacracy to the point of insanity.

You bet this is the right thing to do. Policing is too important and how it relates to social freedom, rights, race, etc. It requires Federal overseeing and nationwide standards.

I hope the coming years bring a reinvention of policing to meet the demands of the humanitarian 21st century.

Humanitarian 21st century? Bwhahahahahaha!

That right there is one of the biggest lies ever spoonfed to the world.

And statistics would disagree with your assessment of "The treatment of Black Americans by so many PDs". Laws are laws, if you break them, you will most likely go to jail. And if you're referring to brutality, well... #NotAllCops #NotAllPDs.
