So, maybe Donald Trump doesn't really have such thin skin after all. I remember watching this roast live, and now when ever I hear that accusation thrown around I just have to laugh... I can only imagine any other candidate taking this kind of abuse with a smile. Say what you will about the man, but he can definitely take a joke.

I thought I would share this in case anyone would like a hot cup of levity to pair with the intensity of this election cycle. I only wish this clip included the portion where Trump roasts the others. (the full show has a price tag on YT)

Yes he can take a joke. 99% of people do that.

What he can't stomach is genuine criticism.

He is a thin skinned snowflake. Like his supporters.

Hillary can't take criticism. Refuses to answer critical questions and ropes off reporters, does not have press conferences. IG, FBI ripped her a new one and she is still running her mouth denouncing every critical point they made. Would not meet with the IG and no record of her meeting with the FBI. One of her responses during the debate was "no comment".

Great. A "but Hillary" response.

I don't support HRC.

Anything to say on this specific topic or are you content with derailment?

A roast is meant to be fun. He played the game.
Try it on the world stage and you get the trumpment. That's what he does not a smear on his name mods A verb not a noun...

He went at those gold star parents three times trying to defend his racist remark about the man's wife.
Because Mr. Kahn said he doesn't know the constitution.(which has been proven time and again to be true btw).
A little thing like that and suddenly "oh I've sacrificed too. Oh I've done this blah blah. " Then say the whole thing was about ISIS. (Here would be a good place for a sound effect like BOING...)

His need to drive a subject into the ground and then spin it to mean something entirely different...unbelievable.

There is no way to talk about one, without the other anymore.
It can not be done.

That roast is one of the funniest ever.
A HRC roast would be funny too. Probably even funnier.

Sure seems that way to me ,I WOULDN'T want to be his political adviser...I'd cuss him out LIVE during interviews if he wouldn't MIND me,THAT would teach him.

They are certainty meant to be fun, and as deep cutting and provocative as possible (unless you're The Situation.) Good practice for taking on today's brand of identity politics and faux moral outrage.

Now, the semantics... Muslim is not a racial identifier... no constitutional right to immigrate to the US (I assume that's what you were referring to, please correct me if I'm mistaken)... and he has plenty of Gold Star Parents (we need a better term, that sounds like something out of an elementary school) on his side.

As a side note, Trump gets my vote as an agent of chaos and for no other reason.

If you want chaos, why are you voting for the guy that said will bring back home all US troops. Who will stop the western policy of destabilizing regions for their own agenda, and will restore the US relations with Russia?

If you want chaos, vote Hillary. We saw, we came, he died is her motto.

I am curious as to where this idea that Trump is a thin skinned "cannot handle criticism" comments are coming from. As far as I know, when someone tries to insult him, he just slams it back. that is not being thin skinned, that is returning the favor. Marco Rubio said he had small hands, he didn't cry or start saying "omg why you gotta go there". He just looked at his hands, and said they are fine little Marco, and so is everything else.

So what comments or series of comments suggests he is thin skinned?? If someone could help me out here.

In this thread we pretend a joke is the same as criticism.

Haha. Touché.

I was more implying that he is a wrench thrown into the current state of American Politics. I couldn't care less if it's a torque wrench, monkey wrench or ratchet. I think we need a shake up for the very reasons you mentioned.

I'm not really looking for global turmoil (or acceleration of the existing situation). I will say that I just re-watched Ledger's Batman and couldn't resist using the reference.)There is a great image to accompany the point but I haven't yet figured out how to embed images... something about my library... I'll get there.

If I was Trump Id pack up and take my billions and my family to a place that isn't run by globalists, doesn't have a stupid population that are brainwashed and where you might actually be appreciated for busting your balls to try and make a difference,New Zealand perhaps,America's finished Donald and its not worth the effort.

Ah yes, the roast where he wouldn't allow them to make fun of how much money he has and has YET to release his tax returns. He is full of excuses in that department.

Trump is a thin skinned bully, as are all bullies and he's already proven this and continues to do so.

This is very true, even making jokes saying Trump was attracted to his daughter were OKd by Trump but not ones saying he was not as rich as was. Donald Trump roast on Comedy Central this is what he banned

ALLOWED: Jokes about Trump's hair
ALLOWED: Jokes about Trump's wife Melania (and his two previous marriages)
ALLOWED: Jokes about Trump having sex with models
ALLOWED: Jokes about the failure of Trump Steaks, Trump Water, Trump Cologne, and other Trump products
ALLOWED: Jokes about Trump's failed casinos
ALLOWED: Jokes about how Trump only became successful thanks to his wealthy father
ALLOWED: Jokes about Trump's weight
ALLOWED: Jokes about Trump being attracted to his daughter Ivanka
NOT ALLOWED: Any joke that suggests Trump is not actually as wealthy as he claims to be

That is so odd.

you say no political experience, I say a lack of known and obvious crony politics by corrupt politicians who are proven criminals and warmongers. Obama had pretty much the same amount of "experience" , and although he expanded the effort to destroy foreign countries along side HRC, feeding the citizens to the meat grinder of terrorism, he receives much praise from hypocrites that claim to want peace on Earth.

His opponent is on record pretty much confirming this global warfare nation destroying will continue. So I think its high time for somebody not from the political business as usual crowd, like the war criminal, serial killing, nation destroying corrupt psycho he competes with.

Whateer though, I guess people who strive for peace on Earth prefer a candidate with a history of destroying nations. Sounds peaceful to me.

I guess I didn't realize the official rules of these roasts. Apparently each roastie gets to make a list about 'off-limit topics."

These were Trump's:

"ALLOWED: Jokes about Trump's hair
ALLOWED: Jokes about Trump's wife Melania (and his two previous marriages)
ALLOWED: Jokes about Trump having sex with models
ALLOWED: Jokes about the failure of Trump Steaks, Trump Water, Trump Cologne, and other Trump products

NOT ALLOWED: Any joke that suggests Trump is not actually as wealthy as he claims to be"

I wanted to make sure that was cited correctly but may have messed it up.

Anyway, this kind of kills the illusion of the roast for me... thanks for that...

I wonder what Beiber's "off-limits" were... they still managed to make him cry so I guess he didn't work too hard on it.

(someone beat me with the list... but I'm leaving it up because I find what he OK'd funny. Jokes about his attraction to his daughter...seriously... and now that I'm thinking about it, the whole "no jokes about my wealth" stipulation could have been a request/demand from various shareholders and vested interests as that is the only thing that could effect his actual business and not just his reputation)

Between the body-shaming, the comparisons to Hitler and the irony of calling Tump a bully while at the same time calling him names, Trump has repeatedly proven his proverbial skin is ironclad.

If you think hes not thinned skinned then you must be a Trump supporter because only his supporters are delusional to all of his short comings.
