I dunno....seems there is some conflicting info...and in Win 7, Windows Defender isn't an AV....so if anything it would conflict with PAID Malwarebytes...which I have.

It's not an AV as such, but works in a very similar fashion. If you do a Google search, you'll see tons of sites about how it conflicts with some AVs and even some firewalls.

It's just a PITA, in my opinion.

I turned off real-time protection for Windows Defender.
Will only set it back on if I have MalwareBytes or my AV turned off for some reason.
