I didn't get to get any pictures, but did anyone else in the area see anything tonight?!

Here's my experience:

I was driving home - around 10:50pm - and I saw this HUGE.... thing in front of me. It was much lower than any plane could be - right over a mountain - and not shaped like any aircraft I've ever seen before. Very similar to the UFO's HERE.

It was barely moving when I saw it - if at all - but there was no way for me to stop and get a better look at it, and when I turned my head around to see it as I passed that section of the mountain it was gone. That was in around 10 seconds. I immediately called my boyfriend excited and screaming and he gets quiet and tells me he see's what I'm describing over the place where he works - 12 miles away in the opposite direction. He jumped into his car and followed it to the next town over but it changed direction and was gone as soon as he hit a stop light - now moving very quickly.

We were thinking - blimp? but that was too fast, had sharp angles and 3 lights coming out of the bottom. He says he saw red lights on the sides of it, as if it was a normal, human, not-too-special aircraft. Another friend thought it looked round, but it wasn't close enough to him to be sure.
Plane? What plane flies that low - doesn't make any noise - and changes directions that fast? Oh, and can hover?

I can't seem to upload any pictures on this threat.. A little box comes up with an x in it.. useful

Did he have a camera on his phone? He answers you, jumps in his car and follows... but doesn't take pics...

How fast does your boyfriend typically drive and what is the distance to 'the next town over'?

Phone cameras are crap when it comes to UFOs, mate.

Like literally less than useless.

Interesting, did it have a series of white lights on it as well? with one or two main red lights? I have seen this thing hovering about 1km away from me, and I estimate it to be 10-15m long. The lights appear like lights on terrestrial vehicles, although in an odd orientation/pattern. Also silent. Have seen this moving and hovering on two separate occasions. Rather ominous. Bear in mind I saw it at night time so could not discern the shape of the craft, only the lights that emanated from it.

He DID get a few pictures of the light it was shining, but you can't see the object. Our first reactions aren't to whip out our phones, but to follow and investigate whatever it is we see that we want to know more about. I'll update the post with the picture as soon as I figure out how.

Knowing him - since he was chasing something we both saw within 30 seconds of each other over 12 miles - he probably had a little speed to him hahaha. The exact spot he drove to was about 7 miles from where he was originally and it took him maybe 10-12 minutes to get there. At that point he said it looked booked it in another direction and was gone from the sky in seconds.

just looked that up - extremely similar, but do those glow at all? this was a light grey / white. Plus I didn't see any flashing lights.

It had 3 lights shining from it... just white light. Almost blue. The center of it was a little darker, but the three lights were close to that darkened section. It was hovering then gone - it flew the opposite direction of where the lights were shining, 12 miles away in around 30-60 seconds (about the time I called my boyfriend and he answered) ~ Then when he saw it, it was just hovering at first.

i've seen a ton recently, but this had sharp angles, hovered then sped up and turned much too quickly to be a blimp. Plus, it was bigger than any blimp I've ever seen.

chinese lantern?

this is why everyone should have a hi-def infrared camera.
someday.
how fast did it cross the horizon? was it below cloud cover?

Unless a Chinese lantern can be as big as a couple of cruise ships (I can't think of anything to scale it to), glow, move quickly/hover/change direction in seconds and not make any noise while doing all of that.. hahaha

I was driving on a dangerous road, I couldn't pull up my phone fast enough before I had to keep moving - there were cars coming and behind me. The car in front of me definitely saw what I saw - they nearly stopped when it started glowing behind the trees.

It was below the clouds - but far above the trees. When I was able to see it it didn't seem to be moving at all. Within I'd say 10 seconds it was gone, 30-40 seconds later I'm on the phone and 10 seconds into the call my boyfriend tells me it's above his work-place. 12 miles away.

at this point i'm confident i won't be calling anyone about it - it's gone & even if they got something weird going on, why tell a random young woman over the phone? i'm going to leave it alone - unless i see it again and can get some proof of what we all saw. then i'll start making calls.

You should at least report it to the Mutual UFO Network.

Sounds like a cool experience.

No excuses here - the picture my boyfriend got just shows a big, bright blob. Not the sharp angles you can see with your eyes. Iphones aren't 10/10 quality, especially at night. Plus yeah, a car is much better because then we get to see for ourselves with our own eyes.

90% chance it would be called a hoax & put down to a weather balloon or blimp, and we already know we aren't alone out there no top priority / first reaction is to get ourselves to it and see it as close as possible.

We're doers, not the type to take pictures and say "wow"
