It's an interesting paradox that can only be understood in the light of evolution.
But paradoxes are almost by definition stupid questions.

There's a lot to be gained from the question provided you are willing to look into it enough to realise the question doesn't make sense.

But in response to the OP, Eggs do predate chickens however I think that's missing the point of the question.
