eta: if I remember, the white seemingly detached portion is a hill in the background, but the group of black spheres is the anomaly.

You are seeing spheres because one of the videos showed you spheres. It is not hovering.
What you are seeing is sunlight falling on a relatively high piece of moon in the distance.
