So are you telling us that the Republican trickle down economics isn't working? And the corporate oligarchy model is corrupted? That's commie talk!!!

Which party's economic policies have been in effect for close to the last decade?

Everyone knows it the Mexicans fault!!

Pretty hyperbolic there. There are lots of factors involved, mostly Democrat meddling.

The neocons have been calling the money shots for longer than a decade....

Things should get a lot better when Donald builds that wall and ships all the useless eaters back across the border eh?

The Neocons are probably the only shower of ***** worse than the DNC.
Luckily they are being run out of politics.

What? What are you talking about?

ETA: Ohhh!!! You are referring to your husband's post.......how do I know??????
You still don't get that I pay attention, then?

Yep....been an "empath" for my whole life. As a writer, linguist, psychlogist, social worker --

Wow, good call, I just chalked it up to being a sock puppet. Quite a few of those out there trolling as well.

That is one of the reasons he didn't want to create his own account.

We do tend to think alike on plenty of things, but not everything. And if you pay attention, you will note that we also tend to patronize different threads at different times ... most of the time. He's also meaner,or maybe less patient might be a better way to describe it.

You generally won't find him in the religion forums, and I don't usually participate in the science topics nearly as often as he will since that's his area of expertise by career.

They do use a pretty broad brush, don't they.

How very ignorant....!!!!

Kansas is a mess. Look it up.
Colorado, on the other "hand" (left of Kansas City....if you're facing North.....)

has been enjoying a yuuuge windfall since they changed their laws a few years ago.
Go figure.

I have no idea how those will impact the economy, if they actually happen. I'm more interested in seeing him reduce regulations and shrinking the bureaucracy.

Shame - used to like Kansas in the 90's. Cook outs at Arrowhead.

Not as big a mess as you think. The main problems are a weak state congress and oligarchy judicial system that is legislating from the bench.

Secondary is the fact that Kansas' economy tends to lag behind the rest of the nation. Things were looking good when Brownback cut taxes.

Third, I will acknowledge that Brownback probably cut too much too quickly. He should have been more gradual.

Different states, different economies. And surprise surprise, I endorse Colorado's sovereignty to experiment with legalized marijuana.

You know who else agreed that Colorado had the right to try it out? Ted Cruz.

Yep....the tailgating for the Chiefs was in Kansas City Missouri, though.

There's a difference.... Jackson County Missouri is not really much like western Wyandotte.....but both are "Kansas City".

Sorry I just get mad when everyone acts like the whole country is prospering it's not... And why say America is doing well when you know it's not? Part of America yes but not most..

I now live right outside Flint. Till a couple years ago it was Saginaw.. This area has never recovered, it started getting real bad in about 2004...

I can tell you what I am hearing locally about Hillary.. People are saying ahe didn't do anything for the water issue and that she was using Flint for her gain....

I've never been one for optimism I'm more cynical.. I think most are out for their own gain..

Glad you have faith that America can turn around.. I on the other hand think this will be our last shot for a very long time......

Trump won't be able to do any of that even on the outside chance he gets elected. You underestimate the neocons; when push comes to shove Donald will bend over and dance to their tune. Mixed metaphors are my addiction.... Please pray for me!!

So, oh wise master....what is weak about a State Congress that is doing everything that the Dominionist Sam Brownback wants to do? Don't lie.
Kansas is a MESS. Sam Brownback is a Dominionist. He has ruined this state.
Schools are not getting funded. From Topeka to the border of Colorado, there is NO PUBLIC RADIO.
To say that Kansas is doing fine is an absolute lie. But, if all you have to listen to is Alex Jones, Rush Limbaugh, and Bryan Fischer, I understand why you say that.
It's pathetically ignorant.

Flint does indeed have problems. So do many, many other cities whose jobs have been "outsourced". My husband, an IT engineer, was out of work for two years due to outsourcing.

I fully expect some head-butting over legislative issues. I'm *hoping* to see that, maybe the Legislative branch will grow a spine and actually re-establish greater separation of powers. But the bureaucracy will be Trump's to command and pair down so long as he doesn't break any actual laws. Considering that the Legislature has ceded authority to the alphabet agencies decades ago this could be great political theatre.

Yeah, cool.

I know where Co is. Lived in the Yampa Valley for 18yrs. Down in Indian Springs and up in Saratoga Springs Wy. My daughter was born in WY.

Drove 70 back and forth to IL, MA, NH, about once a year. First time was in 73'.

Tried 80 once. Hated it. lol.

Like I said, Dr. Laura and farm reports are what I listen to, through Kansas.

Or the cassette deck and some Dead would do it.

Long ass straight road. tho.

The major problem is they haven't put the state supreme court in its place. The KSCOTUS has no right to get involved in budget issues.

Kansas is a MESS. Sam Brownback is a Dominionist. He has ruined this state.

Yet you still live there. Apparently it hasn't broken down into anarchy yet.

Schools are not getting funded.

Yes they are. The increase in spending was cut. But it was still increased from year to year.

From Topeka to the border of Colorado, there is NO PUBLIC RADIO.

I have a hard time caring about that one.

To say that Kansas is doing fine is an absolute lie.

I said it wasn't as big a mess as you portray.

But, if all you have to listen to is Alex Jones, Rush Limbaugh, and Bryan Fischer, I understand why you say that.
It's pathetically ignorant.

Jones is a kook, Limbaugh doesn't talk about Kansas, and I have no idea who Fischer is.

So you don't understand why I say anything. Not very empathic.
