It would be career suicide at this time to come out as atheist - - - for any high level politician.

There are a few open atheists breaking in at lower levels.

I will be watching tonight but unfortunately not participating in the discussion because for some reason ATS is slowed to a crawl for me. Every other cite but this is working fine so I don't know what is up, but I just wanted to wish everyone a good night.

Exactly.

The people that overlook the blatant lies and unethical behaviour of politicians because they are on their team , are the ones destroying this country and destroying the GOOD we could do in the world.

I was always conflicted if the majority was really that dumb, or was the System just that well rigged.

So On good note the rigging of the DNC has given me hope, that the majority might not be that dumb after all.
