Not able to make a new thread after finally being able to get on the site.

I got the 'server maintenance' page too, I think it was about an hour ago.

I don't post much here, but I read enough, and often 'sign in' in case I think of something, or just because things are easier to read that way.

For what it's worth - new Macbook Pro here, using Safari, I am in Chicago but the (tin cans and string) ATT system here often thinks I'm in Texas. ?

Things seem to be working now. Just some observations from An Infrequent Poster.

Yeah I got a busy screen thing too earlier, logged on fine now, but let me ask some of you this if you may know.

Little online auction house I found local. had a locally made sword up. mason thing, called a templars sword. I bid on it, had high bid, but just as auction was ending could not log on. Got logged on and had lost the sword. Auction house said ddos attack on server.

My question, how easy would it be for somebody to do this to a small time outfit? My premise is it was the guty that eventually won the sword.

Would it be feasible or financially feasible to do to win a maybe $300 dollar sword for 75 bucks? or was that just coincidence?

Weird I've never seen this page people are talking about.

I've had slow service during a DDOS, but never seen the server maintenance image.

I will ya ONE MILLION Virtual North Bolivian Escudos (about $0.00000000001283) that
the problem is a hard drive failure or a network car/router failure.

The system went raid-SSD long ago if I'm recalling the announcement correctly. I remember when they upgraded the time before last. I don't think you would see these kind of errors in an SSD. You get indications from spinners, but from what I've heard SSD basically self heal by having unused spare blocks ready to take place of blocks that died out. When it's gone it's gone, and in a RAID array it shouldn't be much noticeable outside of a speed degradation. It could very well be router failure.

It is the ads on the site. They needed to be vetted but are not. Too many of them do not let a page load until they have loaded. The proof is in viewing the site on a pc and then on moblie. When on pc there are many more ads and it causes loadING problems. On mobile very few ads and no loading problems.

12hrs later and I still can't press the "my ats" button without getting the server under maintenance - too many connections warning. I can access all other parts of the site now if i press the arrow log in/out at the side of the button and can get into my account but can't press that one button!

Last time we had that specific MyATS problem, it was discovered that the problem was solved by "refreshing" the page which displayed the server maintenance message.
On Firefox, it's a matter of clicking on the circular arrow icon labelled "reload current page".
