Great idea actually.. send one of those police robots into rooms with one of these to clear buildings.

Maybe they're too cumbersome though.

Legal "auto fire" is available using a bump stock. Cheaper than a mini or a micro gun. No class 3 stamp needed.

Does it come with a silencer and scope?

Jump up and down, frankly...

I'd never own one, too damned expensive to shoot, and reloading my own ammo with something like that just doesn't strike me as an option... Not enough hours in the day.

But damn, it'd sure be fun to shoot.

It renders the rifle unuseable in combat for aimed shots ,it's a toy.

You have to be a president or some kind of warlord to justify these things..

Exactly. I already style myself as the Supreme Dictator of New Jersey so this would fit in with my overall persona.

You are thinking of the Shriners. They can always bring the booze which is a great mix with a 6,000 round per minute firearm.

No I don't.

All I need, other than a whole lot of money for ammo/mini-gun, is the proper permits, and a safe place to shoot it.

But, as I can't afford, it'll likely remain a day dream...*sigh*.

Lots of bullets does not count if just one enemy bullet reaches you first. For room clearing it is important how fast you can turn weapon toward enemy. Thats why some soldiers even prefer pistols compared to assault rifle for that role.

Strap it onto a sturdy robot equipped with ballistic shields, throw a few flash bangs into the room before the robot enters.

I wonder how sophisticated the military's state of the art targeting systems are. How long will we have to wait before a new generation of drones enters the battlefield? And what kind of robots are they covertly working on? They must have some pretty impressive stuff by now.
