Wow, I was going to start one on this topic!
When I joined was January 2012, waiting for the Myan something to happen. I joined for all the weird topics and the truely intelligent community on those weird topics.
I live in Texas and was following the triangle UFO that flew over Stephenville Texas which is about 30 minutes away. (That puts me in the flight path to find The Truth)
Now it means I'm a southern Nazi to a few members.

Tycho meaning the artist Tycho I'm a fan of his music and boards of Canada but also Tycho meaning Tycho Brahe, in my opinion he helped pave the way with his accuracy in astronomy. 1987 is just my birth year.

Because I love Techno music and the 909 is from the Roland Tr-909 drum machine. A classic instrument that influenced the whole genre.

Mines just an amalgamation of my name and birthday, because I wasn't feeling very creative that day.

Super late to this thread, but here goes....

I used to be a Dj. I dj'ed under the name Hartbeat and I used to play hardcore techno music, ie. gabber. Most gabber music is produced in Holland. i am of German decent, and Hart in German=Hard and beat obviously because of the repetitious beat of hardcore music so you get Hartbeat. I love my Dj name and I miss playing!

In 1999, I started playing my first MMORPG. I created a character and entered the Land of Dereth.
Within 5 minutes of exploring the starter town, a few people started making fun of the name I had chosen.
Being a noob, I deleted the character and started a new one. When it was time to enter my name, I randomly mashed my keyboard and out came Abago.

A few years later, I joined ATS using the same name. Abago.
It is now Abago71 as I have forgotten my password or changed emails 71 times since.

My screen name came about in a random manner - I was composing my new profile, took a break to have a smoke or something similar, and came back to my room, washed my hands in the en-suite, and I thought "Hmm, what should I call myself..?" only to have 'FlyInTheOintment' literally pop into my head from 'nowhere'.

So I thought, "Well, I know I'm a royal pain in the ass, so that will do nicely". (Thinking in terms of how the authorities probably hate our attempts to 'shine a light in dark places'..)

It was either that, or something having connotations of a similar nature, which would come with a name like 'SplinterUnderThe Skin'. In the end, I decided that the resultant 'FITO' made for a better acronym, so I went with that!

I take after Loki. Chaotic, unpredictable and self destructive, treacherous in that one slight against me can have you on my blacklist and I am very good at hiding intent through actions. Let a door slam in my face at the market, I'll smile at you and pretend it didn't bother me, but I'll key you car when I leave. I'm not a jerk really, but I do not take kindly to people who treat me poorly as if I'm beneath them. So all that plus chronic anxiety and manic depressive episodes, I'd say Loki could be my father.

In a way we could be brothers You kind of just described me pretty well, but without the anx. Everything else fit

I probably answered this pages back, but if I didn't....

I was going to play an Orc Shaman in a game that was, at the time, in development.

I liked this name, just kind of stuck letters together into something that sounded Orcish, (had to end in OK), and since then, everywhere I went online, it was usually available, so used it for a lot.

Image in my avatar is from an old TV show called "Dresden Files", the actor is Paul Blackthorne (pretty sure he's now on some CW comic hero show). The series was short-lived, but based on a favorite book series of mine by author Jim Butcher. Both Paul and Jim are pretty cool people by the way. Paul even liked our armor costumes so well (we were at DragonCon), that he posted the pic of us on his own Facebook page, so that was pretty cool.

Funny story, my wife and I first saw Paul on the show, "The Gates". When we did, we thought, "He'd make a great Harry Dresden, if they ever made a movie..."...not even knowing about the old show, or that he did indeed play Harry in it. Was a good show, a bit ahead of its time though. Now, it'd fit right in. Kind of like Lucifer in many ways.
