He is a hobby guy, geology, fossils, astronomy (use to work in it) animals, wildlife, you name it, he is a walking encyclopedia, i can ask him anything instead of google and i'll get an answer, that said, who knows if what he is teaching me is true! lol

a reply to: Night Star I have found a few arrowheads. I think the time to find them was in the late 50s and early 60s, My ex motherinlaw found so many that she filled large coffee cups with then near Raymond lake in the Sierras

Wow! I would love to have a few of those! When my Nephew moved out to Colorado he found some arrowheads himself.

Its really cool to find them. You just keep looking at it and wondering about who the person was who made it, and the situation that caused it to become lost

Yes he's found a couple of white quartzite arrow heads, long, like little spears. Very cool.

He can find a fossil as easy as I can find a pair of shoes though, like he has a radar or something

Rider, yes, I would be wondering those things as well. I'd be picturing some young Indian warrior, or a simple Indian just out skinning animals or getting food for his family.

Zazz, do you have any pics of the fossils? I would love to see them!

I don't, but I can take some. he has mostly plant and fish fossils.

We are waiting for him to find the all alusive Dino fossil or a meteorite!

So far no luck. They are the golden ticket.
He was telling me about how much meteorites are worth, I nearly fell over.
