How so? I can't stand the guy but I think it showed he is loyal to his family. That is never a bad thing when your family was rung through the ringer.

If my father was alive today, he probably would have voted for Cruz in the primaries BUT if that had been me on that stage in the position that Cruz was in .... and I had done that ..... he would have given me that look of disappointment that would have crushed my soul. I can hear him now. "You broke your word." Yes family is very important but you don't sign a pledge that you know in your heart you don't mean.
