I'm right there with you. I'm more against paradigms of any kinds than for or against any specific ones... I like logical ratiional thinking without the encumberance of paradigms and indoctrination of any kind. Both Ham and Nye represent the backwards thinking of being encumbered with paradigms and not thinking for oneself.

Instead of being upset that there were dinosaurs in the ark why not address something that can actually be tested such as the size, weight and structure of the ark and it's ability to withstand the forces that it would need to withstand?

Well dinos on the arc is rediculous regardless of what the specs and ability of the arc would have been. Paradigms are there for a reason, the community doesn't hold them as the end all be all but just the established explanation of something. Calling what Ham thinks a paradigm is disengenous imo, religious fundamentalism like he shows shares nothing in common with a scientific paradigm.

Ken Ham is a snake oil salesman. He is exploiting people with strong faith for financial gain. His ideas are laughably wrong and an insult to intelligence. He's a fraud and a liar and I have no doubt in my mind that his organization funds most of the YEC trolls on this website and all over the web.

Bill Nye is himself pretty much a lightweight when it comes to science and has proven himself to be a tool the way he conducts himself. He's been slammed in arguments about global warming and that he'd search out creationists to argue with about evolution should tell you that he's just a paid schill trying to stay on the media radar. And while I can't claim to support creationists views on evolution, I think that our current established scientific views on human evolution is also just as faith based in its own way. That's the problem, too much of what we're told is scientific fact is politicized and speculation when money is involved.

People will do the most absurd things for money, YEC trolls are no different. Most reasonable people ( I would hope) will defend their integrity when called out as a liar or a troll, not creationist. They just go on pretending nothing was refuted and continue asserting the same nonsense, even when irrefutable evidence is presented in writing, in a public forum. Just goes to prove, even though they're completely brainwashed and conditioned to tow the line regardless of the facts, I'm sure money is a great motivator to get some of them to throw away their dignity and bald-face lie for Jebus. And.. it's tax free! making it a very profitable scam indeed.

He can say what he wants. Indoctrination or not, sooner or later the truth will prevail. Just not sure if my (and a lot of others) opinion about it is the truth.
But I think Noah's ark was just a cave with all DNA in it. It's something the real leaders of this world have also done today. Putting all DNA in a cave to be sure it survives the next mega disaster. In the mean time geniuses also are reinventing a lot that already was invented more than 12000 years ago. Their ideas are stone old but it must been said: their was a big gap in consciousness after the great Flood.

Okay, I'm back from vacation in the Rocky Mountains - visiting my daughter, returning to the town where I came of age, and going for a hike in Rocky Mountain National Park.

While I was there, in Breckenridge (where I lived 30 years ago), we went into a shop that had ginormous bits of semi-precious gems.....

I found a youtube crap video they have online....I have to say, the store is SO MUCH MORE and it's like a museum of fantastic specimens of fossils and geodes and crystals and copper and dinosaur fossils.........





DINOSAUR FOSSILS, next to and intermingled with crafted parts of stone and gem....all of which were way hundreds of centuries and thousands of years old.

I took pics, so if anyone wants to see them, let me know. Pics of these enormous fossils and geodes and agates and other stuff that predates humans by millennia.....

So. From Limon Colorado to Salina Kansas, this is ALL THAT WAS AVAILABLE on FM.....on AM you could get God music, or farm futures, or the weather and the latest headline about the DNC and how everyone is so "ermmhmmm! See? We knew it!"

It is truly surreal. And the saddest part is that those hordes of people are not only "locked into" God-speaking Conspiracy-Theorist Dominionist-Preppers....it's that they HAVE NO ALTERNATIVE......

They don't have NPR, or decent libraries, or 24/7 global headlines and coverage a la PRI, NPR, BBC, etc....no. On the FM band, they have super-oldies mixed in with farmer's almanac data and trivia....or
"God Rock."
They don't get to (have offline access to!) listen to TEDtalks, or This American Life, or view PBS or BBC or other intellectual, high-quality documentaries.....





It is a travesty. Thank God I was just passing through - but at least I availed myself of the local available media to get a taste of all they have to offer. I am not referring to every person who lives between here and Denver - but only speaking to the fact that the "radio" only reaches a certain very specific under-educated group who have no other source (that they know of - whether real or imagined).

Yeah - it was painful....I didn't start yelling at the radio, however, until it was Limbaugh.....

Yeah....I tuned in to Fischer after that, and yelled freely at him......

I took some breaks and did some car-dancing and sing-along stuff to super oldies.....but mostly dosed myself with their 'reality' radio......just to get a taste....

He did a piece on Climate Change and he said that 1/4 the province of Alberta is now denuded, the forest has been scraped away to get at the oil sands.

He knew he was lying and yet he made this claim to promote his agenda. I have no respect for that bow tied idiot.
