No. Those attacks are shown for what they are. Large scale usual attacks. In particular with the low rates officers are killed in recent history. If one was trying down play it they would say those happen all the time and have numbers to back it up. So you sort of have it backward.

And the actual OP was about calling out the National Guard for the convention. Indication police can no longer do their job, which is completely untrue.

I hope Mr. Trump has offered to pay for all this extra security, seeing as he's a billionaire and all. He's the one who started out his candidacy promoting violence against protesters with a 'I'll pay for your legal fees' encouragement.

What could possibly go wrong? Thousands of people all with an agenda and hundreds of AK-47s, rifles and handguns.

One firecracker, one car backfiring and all hell's gonna bust out.

If the RNC is smart (they're not, for oh so many obvious reasons), they'll silently relocate the proceedings and only notify those who have an actual reason to attend.

Expect a LOT of cops to call in sick. Fuggit.
