The chants just reinforce the legitimacy of the coup. The military has every right to intervene under the constitution of Turkey if the government becomes too overtly religious or radically religious. It is a constitutionally secular country, and Erdogan's Islamist dictatorship is directly counter to the Turkish constitution.
