Good information to know, and people do need to know that they can defend against a cop that is breaking the law, and unlawfully arresting them. That said, that needs to be a sure thing, because resisting when the arrest is lawful is a problem, and can result in injury or death. Plus, as stated elsewhere, know the local laws, because they do vary.

Ah but the proof is the burden of the accuser, you have to prove the arrest was unlawful. Otherwise your just a cop killer and soon to meet your maker. Best to just wear the steel bracelets and take your story to court. You live longer that way.

In most cases, I'd say that's the best move. In a case of a cop actually assaulting someone, it would be a different story. This could also apply to no-knock raids on the wrong residence, if a homeowner shot a cop, thinking they were a burglar.

Seems a little disingenuous to say you don't have any idea what would've happened if the fella in the video you're watching had actively and violently resisted but okay.
