Remind me again who is pushing universal background checks and tougher restrictions on firearms ?

That LEFT WING FASCISM.

This.
I know the lefties will argue that it's targeting gun owners and not a race or religion, but that isn't even relevant. There is a distinct religious group (even call it a subgrouping of a religious group) that is killing people violently. If there is a step that can be taken to stop them, so be it. There's no fascism here so people need to stop throwing around words they don't even understand. It isn't fascist to profile people, and it isn't fascist to investigate people that fit a certain pattern, time and time again.

It isn't necessary we just PROFILE like Israel does at AIRPORTS.
We execute instead of capture, when they expose themselves ...(THAT will happen anyway when WE find them before cops) ,due process is not available to foreign combatant-criminals who hide amongst the innocent muslims ,sucks to be Islamic and I HATE this, but they should have removed these elements themselves centuries ago like Christians when WE evolved out of he dark ages and into the chaos we have today. Jihad targeting is still screwed up but we will still target them.
IF THEY won't protect their own innocence why should we? HOW can we ?
To weak, scared TELL ME I'll kill them, we have better and more killers on the planet bar none, people seem to be either afraid of that or not really know...
MONEY,numbers and talent to choose from I guess.
OTHERS individually are better but far few, poorly equipped compared to us and not American born.

That isn't true. You can't profile people based on religion.

If skin heads call themselves Christians and start massacring all the people they hate you can't start profiling Christians.

The majority of these terror attacks are against Muslims who don't want the kind of life Isis is trying to create.

I think some countries can have scrutiny when the passports and visas are given.

Like hey Saudi Arabia has a free ride in the US. Yet they have until this new young dictator been what we are profiling as radical Muslims.

The very guys flying around with presidents are the ones promoting the lifestyle killing people around the world.

So testing American Muslims isn't going to do snip

Because that's their western 'privilege' using their western 'guilt' to shame people that are not responsible for anything.

It wasn't centuries ago we evolved out the dark ages. Women couldn't have bank accounts, property rights, respectable upper class jobs, vote, marital rape wasn't prosecutable until the 70's.

But yes we don't want to go backwards.

We should praise and elevate the majid newaz's and moderates instead of abandon them and be afraid of them. Ultimately they are the only realistic way this will end. When they rise up and rebuild there own.

Check.

Or being in a reversal being told by some that it is Western propaganda, when it is reality.

Don't get me started. Western self-castigation and grovelling is not only nauseating, but saying the west is at fault for everything infantilizes other cultures.

This a thread about religious tests. You're the one insisting that the majority of terrorism comes from Muslims. I disagree. The Gulf War, and its Christian justification is my evidence.

That's fair. All I ask is if you hold the standards you hold to Christians to Muslims as well? Because I have yet to see it.

In my viewpoint, none of this is really about religion at all. We're being manipulated to focus on religion while TPTB exploit the globe of its natural resources, destroying human an animal habitats, in the name of the "One True God", GREED.

Sure why NOT ?

Works for gun owners.

We're rounding up gun owners in droves because of the websites they visit? News to me...

If we did that, there'd be no one left to make the websites they got rounded up for.

Your claim of victim status is invalid.

322 million Muslims in the US. Testing them all might take some time, plus create a new industry of testers, truck drivers driving them to the airport to be deported, more planes, guards to make sure they don't run off, growth industry bringing American jobs back. No unions though!!!!

Of course this is not reasonable, the vast majority are here legally and have assimilated into Western Society. That still doesn't change the fact that host Countries have a responsibility to all of it's citizens to prevent allowing people who wish harm to their way of life from entering the host Country. Sadi Arabia sure isn't going to allow it, why should we?

Ignoring common sense concerns is not Racism, and this lack of common sense has lead to the rise of Trump and Newt, both of whom I would never vote for ! We already have pretty laws to vet people wanting to become US citizens and part of that process is expecting loyalty and respect for our Country...is that unreasonable?

Allow me to ask the question a different way ...

Before God, who here believes that the legal system in the United States is founded upon Judeo-Christian principles and should be "returned" to being even moreso based on the Bible?

Absolutely facetious there M.

We are making them get the states permission after passing a TEST. Then according to a given set of rules they might get to practice their RIGHTs.

Only the proponents of THOSE violations of American civil liberties sing a different tune when it comes to muslims.

I wonder why that is.

Gryph I don't think the websites gun owners are going to are declaring war against America. There is a difference there. If the gun owner is corresponding with people who declare war on America and the public society they should be investigated with a warrant whether it's a Muslims nut or an mcvae type group.

You know, those religious tests that are specifically forbidden in the COnstitution you like to quote when it suits you?

Yeah. That one.

I suppose you're against Driver's Licenses as well? How about Voter IDs?

I don't think ATS gun owners are declaring war on America either, as I happen to be one, LOL.

Sorry, but your post is hitting me out of left field. Can you be a bit more specific about your comment?

The only thing connecting each and every member of ISIS is the religion. They come from all over the globe, are of every race, speak different languages, come from various economic backgrounds, are of varying education, but they all practice Salat each day.

That is certainly debatable.
