Ok let's say you did happen to do that.

It's possible you're selfish because of it. Seeing as tho the only reasoning you wanted to do it, is without a doubt only because seeing someone in need made you feel bad on the inside.

It's possible you're only contemplating on doing that of which you perceive to be a good deed, just to make yourself and/or ego feel better. Which could possibly lead to it being a deed.

Short answer: The alleged good deed and/or bad deed is just merely all perspective.
