No, we still dont have equal rights. Everybody is still being oppressed and discriminated in some way or the other.

- Plus sized women havent graced the cover of playboy yet. They're looked upon as unsexy and unhealthy.

- Transgender women are still seen as guys in drags. Straight guys prefer to date natural born girls instead of transgenders.

- A gay man hasnt played the role of James Bond or that of any other male sex symbol.

I could go on but I'll stop here.

Genitalia is exactly how to determine gender. Just because someone FEELS like they're something else, doesn't mean they are. BESIDES, I thought the narrative was all about gender not being relevant to sexuality?

However, in the same breath I say "You really don't even understand or begin to fathom how good you've got it, do you?"

That's where I think.. dude step back and look at the rest of the world. Whether I like what America has become (..or has always been) or not; you just honestly need to think about how far we have come. See how easy it is to find sources that are biased towards our own preconceived notions? The difference is I bet I can find far more white women who support my claim than you can white men who support yours.

It all has to do with systemic discrimination - that is the underlying problem, which most seem oblivious to.
