Who is the scariest?

Ok, think back to Christopher Columbus times, you set sail in your wooden galleon for shores anew. First shore, you set down the excursion dingy, you and six of your crew, all dressed in Red as was the fashion of the times, with a musket ......... you are greeted on the shore by something like this ......



OK, thats Iceland you say, do i invade or sail away? me ........ i'd sail away

Some months later with the weather heating up you spot land again, once more you get the dingy out, sail for shore and find this



Perhaps i shouldn't and wouldn't have worn the red uniform, coz i would have sailed away again

Simple question, which is the scariest?

I vote Iceland

Yet they were invaded and invaders settled there at some stage.

Nice bit of heritage, but it's all for show nowadays.

Actually the Maoris fought the British to a standstill a treaty was signed to end hostilities

Definetly hakka. Iceland stole that move off Motherwell FC and you voyld have wiped em all out by the time they get to their second clap it takes that long.

It did originate from motherwell, just incase you were unaware. They place a European game in Iceland and the natives adopted it. Most people in the UK are aware of it. All over youtube if you wanna check

We were invaded by many an empire, none less the Normans.

The welcoming committees from both, back in the day, would never had experienced the musket shot to the face. It must of looked rather Demonic, to some extent,

No worries from me, Im just a yank that had friend serving alongside kiwi's and heard nothing but amazing things, then I got shown that...

The Hakka from what I understand is a showcase of sorts for their national pride, (I am probably butchering it) just remember this is something that started from war... and it has been involved with sports teams from new Zealand from the late 1800's on... it has also continued as an important part of the military culture.

I am trying to wrap up some homework, but look online you can find a breakdown of that ceremony for honoring a fallen comrade, it will explain the Sniper walking before the hearse and the soldiers arrayed around it... I remember it was pretty awesome read.
