The Human Fish (photo)

The owner of this fish said that it is starting to look more and more human everyday. And I thought I'd just post it up here...so here it is...


The Fish

Pretty crazy, it doesnt look photoshopped...too much Hell, it looks real to me.

Actually, it IS a weird looking critter.
The underside of some skates and rays have a humanlike appearance too..

That’s a pretty strange fish. Looks almost like a giant catfish, except the eyes are different.

It is simply a domestic carp (Cyprinius carpio). The strange thing is that the fish is 19 year old and recieved pubblicity just now. Ornamental carps (for example the Japanese Koi) are extremely prized in the Far East (especially Korea, Japan and China) for strange markings and weird body shapes. Apart from the prestige they give to the owner, they are considered tokens of good luck. Professional breeders will go through tens of thousands of young fishes to find the ones with extravagant colours and exotic body shapes to introduce into their breeding programs. That's how the common goldfish came into being... This particular carp, because of her head marking and the related pubblicity, will surely be a huge hit for the lucky owner...

Reminds me of an episode of First Wave. It was about people who were in dire need of money & so let themselves be part of a scientific experiment in return for payment. They metamorphed into fish with their human minds still intact.

It's already part of reality where people with illnesses allow themselves to be guinea pigs for a new drug.

DANG! I thought it would look something like a mermaid.

I collect mermaid things, but the pic of this fish is most definatly NOT something I plan to print out and frame.......kinda yucky looking. Doesnt say much for humans if this is how we look.........blecky
