this thread just blows me away...
after reading all the posts it seems to be everyones contention that this was some sort of specialized team ?
thank you for helping me think about this in a different way.

The biggest glaring problems I'm seeing with the rifle pictured in the photo I have seen. The notorious safety scratch AKs more or less come with new. If you use the safety more than 2 times it scratches away the finish and leave a nice metallic semi-circle at the far end under the lever. The second problem I have is the rifle shown still has the plastic piece almost every AK gets shipped with covering the charging handle. This is a slippery piece of plastic that anyone in their right mind would take off and would be impossible not to fall off if he reloaded even one in any type of a hurry. I honestly don't know if this rifle was even used before that night. The only thing missing is the plastic piece they put in through the rifle chamber when they ship it. And if this IS the rifle the police are talking about, why so wrong on the model? AK's and SKS's don't look much alike at all. Even less so once you start putting aftermarket stocks on them.

I know from the video I heard, made from a building, during this event, there were a LOT of shots fired. There were shots from multiple guns, such as you might hear at a firing range (been there, done that), and NO WAY that was from one shooter. No way. Witness reports like this one confirm that, and I have read comments from people who know some of the cops involved who state firmly that there were multiple shooters, as well. Case like this, it might not be as easy to sell the "lone gunman" scenario!

Now they are showing pictures of a Saiga 7.62x39 Ak.

It's hard to tell because Saiga (if that is one) have all kinds of weird and wonderful cocking handles.

I uploaded a pic to ATS, but I can't seem to put it in my reply.

imgur.com...

I just uploaded to imgur instead. This is a pic of the charging handle cover. Compare that to the suspects weapon from the pic. Same thing. You are right about the wide variety of charging handles available for many rifles, but i've never seen one like this and and couldn't find one looking on the web. It seems like most aftermarket charging handles are a knurled peg. I couldn't find any that were oversized and grey, the closest being a silver replacement that looks to be same size as the original should be.

I should note that this is a Saiga shotgun by the looks of it, so the charging handle could be slightly wider in the example pic, but I can't remember. It's been a year since i've unboxed one.

It looks like the same thing to me. That does beg the question then if that was the weapon at the scene why did it still have packaging on it?

The Dallas shooting looks to me like another imbecile attempt at stirring chaos in the USA. Many offensive and violent tweets on the internet are not to be taken seriously as they come from overseas and not from the USA itself. The shooter was obviously not alone doing the violence!

I did the same thing. I followed this thing like a hawk as soon as it broke. They are hiding something for sure. This is another "official story" that is officially full of holes and lies.

most likely it was the echos off of the other tall structures in that area.

I was going under the assumption that the patrol officers killed were wearing the standard patrol level IIIA body armor which only stops pistol rounds.

Ultimately, it wouldn't matter what type of body armor they were wearing if they were shot in the head.

Just to add, here is level III armor stopping steel core 5.45x39.
