I saw a group running up. Why were there three or four of them trailing behind one shield though? You'd think they'd each have their own.

I'm very sad and disgusted by the comments on Youtube live feed and Twitter about this. And more than a little angry on so many levels.

The shield is just cover for the shooters behind. A distraction of sorts...

Not how it's done. Typically point man wields the shield. In tight quarters it would be to easy to get tangled up. Plus if everyone was wielding a shield, everyone would only be operating with one hand.

did anybody see the guy on Fox that was being interviewed saying he knows of a couple of people carrying rifles. and he called them and told them to go and turn them over to the cops.

why carry a rifle to a protest if your going to be doing it peaceful.

this police force is not looking so competent right now. this is probably a good reflection of their training.

the whole world is probably watching this unfold, and this is how its being handled. civilians still near the perimeter, no one seems to have a clue looking at the live feed. where's the leadership, where's the tactician orchestrating the capture of this coward.

when thinking is required, the ineptitude of our LEO's is glaring.

There is a lot of anger out there. A lot.

I expect anger in the country hasn't approached this level very often and certainly maybe not in many of our lifetimes. This is what leads people to spit on soldiers returning from a war many were drafted to serve in for example.

Only this time, we're turning on each other internally which we mostly don't do as badly. Too many old warhorses looking to relieve their glory days from the Civil Rights movement without as clear cut a cause as before, and I think this time they may be mistaking revenge for actual justice. Then you have the ones who are only and ever seeking to expand their power on the backs of the young and dumb who don't understand what they are really doing.

They are going to become what they fear and say they hate. You see if they don't.

Their SWAT team isn't going to be on open radio so you can't hear their actual command structure. Of course initially it's going to be chaos. But from what I'm hearing, they're doing pretty well keeping the shooter contained to one floor of that building.
