Well people this is rich coming from the most transparent administration in US History. ALL public record requests on Orlando are to be denied! Translation. 'Your only going to know what we TELL you. Hell they can spin it any way they wish.

Mateen called police several times during the three hour ordeal to declare his allegiance to ISIS, yet only a fraction of his discussions with authorities that night have been released to the public — first an edited version, than an unedited one.

The only news your gonna get is what they MAKE UP!

And yeah people absolutely forget about ever hearing the 9-11 call the Seminole County Sheriffs office has been verboten from releasing it.

It is interesting here people. That if Orlando was just a 'gay lover' that wanted revenged.

I find it highly suspect the Obama administration pulled this SNIP.

WHAT are they hiding ?

I'm with you....it sickens me that we have allowed the powers to be to constantly deny public records requests. The entire purpose of public records is that the public is allowed to have access to it. Yet at any time something tragic happens we are told that we are denied our request to see the records. As you pointed out, the obviously conclusion is they must want to hide something.

To add one more point, I'm sick of the mass media working hand in hand with the government to not tell us all the facts because "it would be too disturbing for our viewers" or other such nonsense. We are continually treated like children who need to be protected from ourselves. Our government and media "parents" are protecting us from knowing the truth about the bad guys so we can be happier children.

The answer seems to be that it is an active investigation.

Could this be because of a trial or other lawsuits?
Hard to find a jury kind of thing?

Right, that is what the masses are always told...it's an active investigation...letting you know what we know would somehow hamper justice...you don't want him to get away with it do you? Then you need to just trust us that we'll tell you what happened when we are done with our investigation and clean up any information we don't want released to the public.

I think that was gone over here. I don't even think it was the house he was living in. Regardless, the authorities took all of the things they wanted. The press gained entry, no one just waited and let them in.

It's all theatre for the mass's. Those that listen to MSM as if we're the do all end all of information source's. Those people outnumber the informed and in tune by a whole damn bunch.

From your source at The Daily Caller:

The letter from Paul Paul Wysopal, special agent in charge of the FBI’s Tampa field office, stated the following:

As you know, this is an active, on-going investigation being conducted by the FBI. The FBI considers information obtained from the state and local enforcement agencies in furtherance of its investigation to be evidence or potential evidence. Accordingly, the FBI is concerned that public disclosure of such records or information at this time will adversely affect our ability to effectively investigate the shooting and bring the matter to resolution; could endanger the safety of law enforcement officers, and other individuals who have participated in or are otherwise connected with the investigation; and risks unduly prejudicing any prosecutions that may result from the investigation.

So you and other right-wingers who have been screaming to high-heaven about this being RADICAL ISLAMIC TERRORISM™ from the start ... now think there's absolutely no national security aspect to it at all?

What's it like to live with that level of cognitive dissonance?

Hmmmmm... the feds are obviously trying to protect themselves; so are they trying to hide their mistakes? Or their complicity???

What if the feds were trying to entrap Mateen into an attempted terrorist attack -- their standard MO now it seems -- but Mateen went rogue and actually committed that attack before they could "bust" him... on his own target for his own personal reasons...

Or, even worse, what if rogue fed agents actually wanted to create a false flag event (read: massacre) and were grooming or conditioning Mateen to do the dirty deed when he went rogue?

I don't believe Mateen acted alone. I just don't know who he was working with yet; ISIS? FBI? CIA? DHS? All of the above???

That's exactly the reason why their are not releasing certain information. If they did, it may compromise other areas of investigation they are working.

It says that at the OP's link.

Also, there is no evidence whatsoever to indicate this has anything to do with Obama. Seems to be standard procedure.

Just another bait thread for nutters.

That is usually the way it is done. You will hear police continuously say 'we don't comment on active investigations'. The prosecution is preparing for trials.

Would you be willing to explain to us what it really means? It seems to me that the government has long pushed propoganda on foreign countries so they hear the side of the story WE want them to hear but it was supposedly illegal for them to push that same propoganda on it's own citizens until that restriction was lifted.

They are called public records for a reason. Anything not deemed for public view is not available. Why do you feel the need to defend anything liberal? You should try thinking outside the box, this is the place for it. We can get the liberal view on every other media outlet.

I don't know why Americans think they're little Ceasar's and entitled to have a universal magic key to everything at all times all the time.

Why aren't people crying, moaning and bitching about not being able to just waltz into Area 51? What about our secret nuclear programs -- shouldn't any request for information be just handed over?

See, it doesn't work like that. Sure, the government works FOR us, but in order for the people we hire and elect to do that, sometimes they need to be left alone and not bothered so they can do their work.

If every Tom, Dick, and Harry mobbed the offices that are involved with the investigation, it would bog down the process, muddy the water, and delay and findings.

Back in the Cold War era this kind of meddling would be seen as Soviet-influence to make the USA weak when it needed to remain strong. Having disarray among the citizenry was something agent provocateurs were tasked with doing...

Just sayin'
