What were the Church of Satan's most important teachings?

Seeing as how the mods have let this part of ATS once again become a religious soapbox I thought it was only fair to post my own religious afflictions.



Out of all of the nine Satanic statements, these are the ones I most hold true:

Satan represents vital existence instead of spiritual pipe dreams!

Satan represents undefiled wisdom instead of hypocritical self-deceit!

Satan represents vengeance instead of turning the other cheek!

Satan represents man as just another animal, sometimes better, more often worse than those that walk on all-fours, who, because of his “divine spiritual and intellectual development,” has become the most vicious animal of all!

Satan represents all of the so-called sins, as they all lead to physical, mental, or emotional gratification!

Out of the eleven Satanic rules of the earth these are the ones that I hold dear:
When in another’s lair, show him respect or else do not go there.

If a guest in your lair annoys you, treat him cruelly and without mercy.

Do not take that which does not belong to you unless it is a burden to the other person and he cries out to be relieved.

Do not harm little children.

Do not kill non-human animals unless you are attacked or for your food.

I did some research awhile back on Satanism. I found it to be a unique way to justify "sins" if albeit theatrically. Your right it deserves mention and I look forward to reading others views and discussions if they can be had.

Most of what you type is true. There are 2 that aren't quite right. The theory of vengeace in Satanism is not so simple. The theory of all sins representing Satan or Satanism is not true nor that simple.

I think that is more about uninvited guests.



Though it states that word for word, there are texts that expound on that.

The answer is easy enough...

Are they guests if they are uninvited? Also, yes, Satan representing all sin(s) would be hypocritical at least a little.

Anton LaVey's Church of set promoted HEDONISM and little more.
AT least with the Necronomicon MAYBE you can rig a Tulpa...

That is not an answer to state the teachings of a church are not important. It is not an answer to say that anything is not important. Try again.

No. But they may have been invited by others. That rule doesn't exactly mean what it says.

In regard to all sins, you are right. Satanism does not represent all sins.

Do as thou wilt without guilt ,from the Golden Dawn doctrine.
NO spells ,rituals or really any worship of the deity itself,just defiant hedonism.
Maybe you should check out the Process Church.
THEY look like alot of fun...

Even Anton realized this on his death bed as his last words cried out in anguish and lament over his efforts overcame his delusion...
His own teachings were most unimportant to him then... In fact he was feeling rather sorry for himself for what he had done...

The Golden Dawn is not The Church of Satan. It is linked to it and also linked to Wicca. But it is NOT either. "Do as thou wilt shall be the whole of the law" is the quote from Satanism.

I'm not sure what the Process Churh is.

Satan has been the best friend the Church has ever had, as he has kept it in business all these years.
