I support social justice.

I don't support racism.

I support equal rights for all people like allowing gays to have what the rest of us have and get married.

I support free healthcare for anybody who needs it who cannot afford to pay - I live in a rich first world nation with free healthcare and I think it should stay that way. Why should only the moneyed have access to healthcare?

I don't support crony capitalism.

What's wrong with being an SJW?

The way it's discussed here is like we are evil people.

Sing it again, what's wrong with being an SJW?

Some would say labeling is the problem. Once you label something or someone you become more focused on the messenger, not the message.

Sing it, whatever the truth is, sing it. Even if they call you names.

It's more of a popular sarcastic term as of recent.

Obviously people like MLK an Harriet Tubman were social justice warriors and are well-respected.

People like Laci Green and Anita Sarkeesian sardonically called social justice warriors because they are "fighting" against problems that don't exist and are "triggered" by virtually anything.

There's nothing wrong with social justice. It's the warrior part we have a problem with. One could even argue that's what you're doing here.

Because those that call themselves that don't really believe in justice at all. It's a misnomer.

There is a world of difference between being a social justice advocate and being a social justice warrior. It's not playing semantics to differentiate between the two because there's quite a distinction to be made. The last word being the key.

The position of the advocate is more moderate and reasonable, whereas the position of the warrior is more extreme and provocative.

Example:

Social justice advocate: "I believe all people should have the same rights and freedoms because we are human beings."
Social justice warrior: "Minority groups and women are kept down due to the privilege maintained by white heterosexual males."

Well, it's fine and great to support those things.

It's bad when you become militant about them though.

Exhibit A, Trigglypuff.

Exhibit B, Carl the Cuck featuring Aids Skillrex.

Exhibit C, Big Red.

The worst part about SJW is that they are anti-white.

Here is a prime example of a SJW. I am not criticizing you or them. Just that this is what fits the label. If you are one of these people then you can understand better why people see a CHILLING EFFECT going on when the label SJW is applied in real terms.

So having opinions about these things is a problem is it?

You're putting Martin Luther King and Harriet Tubman in the same category as Black Lives Matter and slutwalk feminists?

I think we've identified at least one thing wrong with being a social justice warrior--total ignorance of history thanks to politicized education.

You are not "anti-white" in the sense that you have an innate dislike or hatred of the white race, but you are likely a supporter of policies and regulations that discriminate against or demonise white people based on their skin colour alone.

If you fit in the above description then that does kind of make you anti-white.

Do you ever use the terms "check your privilege" or "cultural appropriation" or "white guilt?"

The current crop of SJW seems to see everything about them and their cause, case in point BLM turning the Orlando Terror Massacre into and I Quote:

Despite the media’s framing of this as a terrorist attack, we are very clear that this terror is completely homegrown, born from the anti-Black white supremacy, patriarchy and homophobia of the conservative right and of those who would use religious extremism as a weapon to gain power for the few and take power from the rest.

It's a bit much when you turn everything into something about yourself. They end up looking egotistical or schizophrenic paranoid, take your pick.

So there are idiot SJWs? You want to paint everyone with the same brush?

Does this mean all Trump supporters are Nazis because he's been endorsed by white supremacists?

I don't think there is one single person on ATS that does not believe is social justice and equality for all, although there certainly is a sizeable window of what apparently constitutes equality and who deserves it and who is controlling its meme.

As opposed to the 60s & 70s where social justice supporters rallied for equality in the workplace and social community because racial and gender segregation was at full retard levels, in today's online environment the term SJW has now been equated to anyone who cannot stand the opinions of others and who will resort to violence to prove their compassion.

Like the folks who make it onto YouTube at Trump and Milo rallies, wailing at the injustice of words and being violent towards t-shirts and caps worn - becoming the very epitome of intolerance and anti-free speech whose logic part of the brain cannot conceptualise how to come to terms with tolerating sharia law versus maintaining LGBT rights, without offending someone because feelings.
