My god....does anyone in the group of folks on this board constantly commenting with things like "....msm....libtards....if it were a Christian...." Etc etc etc ever get tired of the never ending circle jerk around here?!!?!

I'm a "middle of the road guy" when it comes to politics and agree with you guys on quite a few of your "go to" issues, but Jesus people....The pages and pages of comments after most conservative leaning posts are consistently filled with the same repetitive backslapping circle jerk nonsense from the same 5-6 individuals In every single similar thread. I realize that can be said for liberal leaning threads as well. The difference here guys is the level of horribly overused and terribly unwitty/cheesey catchphrases and buzzwords used in the conservative leaning threads. Guys....please...."libtard", "billary" "traitor in chief", they just aren't clever or funny anymore! Whenever I see someone use one of these horribly played out #ticisms it seriously makes me completely downgrade the quality and level of respect I can give their opinion. If a person is out-of-touch enough to find that kind of corny bull# funny, or even more insanely ridiculous: witty, than how can I sit here and feel comfortable trusting their sensibilities when it comes to other #!?? Please lord, let some originality, legit wit, and some god damn interesting commentary come back to this board!

I'm sorry ladies and gentlemen, but the self-appreciating grin I picture coming across your faces everytime you finish typing in the "d" in "libtard" ...well...it makes me want to force you to go scuba diving with an air tank that I've filled up with 2 years worth of meticulously trapped farts. G'day

Actually, "political sniping" or name calling of the candidates is not allowed.

I'm guilty of having done it (and was corrected), not being a fan of Hillary, Trump nor Sanders.

Let me see, you want someone to be "funny," "witty" and "clever" to appease your "sensibilities"?

No one says "lib-" to give themselves a "grin" it's a practical dictionary definition.

These aren't "go to" issues. They're real world concerns.

-out..

Btw I agree about name calling, I get sick of it too, but wanting it to be "funny" so they can appease you with "wit" might be the wrong concern.

Im middle of the road but lean to both right and left on certain issues, and I do agree, they all suck. Sanders for what he would do, Hillary for being a Lysol, and Trump for being an egotist.

Cant we find better? Are there no better people in America to select from? I once voted for Bush, and I cant stand that liar either. Its as if someone is tormenting us with these poor leaders, that couldnt lead their way out of a paperbag

So you don't like it when people use MSM to describe Main Stream Media?

I think compared to the "everyone who doesnt agree with me is a racist", this is small potatoes.

Can you provide a specific example of someone using the word libtard around here lately?

I'd like to give them a star if that's okay with you.

Just a reminder:

Changing the name of a political candidate, political following or ideology, etc, is against the ATS Terms and Conditions that every member here agreed to when they registered with ATS.

If you come across a thread or post that has done this: please alert the ATS staff about it.

HOWEVER: these ARE allowed in the Political Mud Pit forum.

The Mud Pit is a special place on here where we pretty much allow all the political trolling and baiting to happen.

But anywhere else on ATS: it's a big no-no. So please alert us to it.

I am in agreement. I am a right leaning independent but hate seeing others put down (both sides) with repetitive deeming words. It serves no purpose IMO. just a way to denigrate another opinion which is never needed. Just state your opinion without the superlatives.

Until people stop voting for these mainstream parties the posts will continue. We need to take America back from the Establishment and Elite and for some reason there a many here that still don't get it and just want to play partisan politics.

What was the old Roman saying? Money is like sea water, the more you drink the thirstier you get.
The same could be said for power. There are those who are drunk on it and and still not satisfied. We live in dangerous times. We camp on Russias borders. Shall we push them into a corner too? Shall we do all this without consideration of possible consequence?

There were so many threads like that today, I did not believe humans could be naturally producing them at the speed they were being created.

It's not the fault of the people voting for the parties, it's a systemic failure. The US Presidential Election is first-past-the-post, which inevitably results in a two-party system.

The thread numbers covering everyones dislike of opposing parties and viewpoints is a bit much. In that regard I agree with the OP, and wouldnt mind seeing new thread posting limits on anything politically oriented. It gets repetitive and muddies the site.

Posting limits are not a good alternative. People will post what interests them and the topics that interest others invariably make it to the top of ATS. Right now there is a lot of corruption on both sides of the aisle and that is what people are interested in at this moment.

Identifying and attempting to stop corruption is admirable in my opinion.

Ah yes, the go to of the three year old.

"They started it" or "Well little Joeys mom and dad let HIM say what ever he wants!"

Thats the sort of seasoned debate skill that we need more of around here, for suuuure.

Good grief.
