If some white Christian was making threats about bombing an airport or planes and saying he "will do it, just wait and see". That person would have been arrested and charges would have been pressed against him, and the law would be right to do so. But because this woman is a Muslim she is being let go even after making threats she will make sure the United States in bombed?...

Tell you this if i was her father or husband(poor fellow really) i would consider breaking out the light stick and beating the fear of Allah in to her. Because lets face it that crazy lady needs to be taught some manners, humility and respect.

Yeh, well they blame Christians for creating the hostile environment, NRA for providing the Guns, and Muslims for carrying out the executions. But, they don't blame any LGBT for bringing it onto themselves by their own behavior.

After watching the entire video, I am left to wonder if this was a type of ploy for a free ticket home...there is one point where she seemed to break about coming here and seemed genuinely upset about things not working out here...yet even in my self revelation of just being "human" and empathetic...my gut just tells me send this one BACK!

I'm not sure what exactly you charge her with though. She was just raving. It is absolutely unpleasant and abhorrent, but she wasn't directly threatening anyone in particular, just an amorphous group.

Now if the social media zeitgeist follows her back to her place of employment, she could get fired and everything else that comes these days with getting heard saying something impolitic in the wrong place at the wrong time.

But I don't think anyone can throw her in prison for it. I'll bet she landed on someone's watch list though.

I'm pretty sure Freedom of Speech never gave a person the right to threaten others with violence.

It depends who she was originally saying this stuff to.

I already posted a law about "true threat" under the fighting words doctrine.

If the cops were called originally because she was saying this in line and scaring people or railing against an employee she thought was gay it would be considered a true threat. Especially in an airport the day after a horrible massacre of homosexuals.

If it was just a reporter it would be different. It would be different if she said they were going to hell or whatever like the westborogh people.

But for instance you can't expect you first amendment to be protected going into a gay bar shouting your going to blow up all the people there. You can read the law you don't even have to be ready to do it or capable of it because our basically taking someone's right to (insert preamble) when you make them fear for their lives

It's even more so when it's a non American. The 14th does not protect free speech when inciting rage like this. Not only that there normally are local and state laws regarding this kind of thing.

And definitely at an airport. You just don't say bomb or its considered a true threat under the law.

Well I watched the video and I was disappointed at the conduct of the cops. They shoulda brought in a K9 unit or three. You know to make sure there are no explosives sewn into any of her garments. The first K9 unit to sniff her and her stuff the second two K9 units to double check. You know just in case the first dog might be having an off day. Its the only way to be sure.

Cops shoulda said "well, this investigation is going to take a while. Better order in some food. Does Duanes Barbaque Palace down the street still deliver, I could really go for some pulled pork and baby back ribs? " then eat it in front of her.

Better yet tell her that the only unit available for her transport to the detention cell is the K9 unit and make her sit next to the dog in the back seat.

So let's do something nobody else in the thread has done yet....let's go to a majority Muslim area and start screaming how we want to bomb them all and F Muslims and Allah is a sham and blah blah blah....

Any supporters? Didn't think so...

She should be locked up.

She committed an offence under the law, which, if committed by any other citizen or person on US soil for different reasons, would result in jail time. Threatening murder and mass casualty events is a yellow brick road to the jail house for anyone as far as I am aware, and so it should be.

As to your question further down the page, over whether or not one believes you to be islamaphobic for posting this story...no.

You are not islamaphobic because you posted a true story of a thing that actually happened. You might be if you would consider allowing this story to affect your opinion of, and treatment of Muslims generally, but that is a matter for you to work out for yourself, and one upon which I cannot comment, given what you have posted here thus far.
