Actually, I'm thinking Brexit outcome will spur things in the opposite direction of NA Union. For example, I'm guessing the Texas secessionists will be emboldened by the news. They might even take a dozen of more red states with them. That might actually be a good thing for Texas and Company. It would certainly improve the remaining states textbooks ten-fold.
