my avatar and images not showing up

not sure what the deal is.
my avatar is not showing up in any posts. only a little symbol that looks like a broken page or something.
everyone elses is showing up.
i went into my uploads and all of those are showing up like that too.
any ideas?
makes no sense.

I can see your avatar just fine.

Perhaps there is a setting on your browser which has changed?

I think it is a glitch in the matrix of ATS

I tried to post a picture and it just creates the little box. Tried to upload a new pic...little box

Of course..now it works

From my testing you have a 50/50 shot. Some of mine work some don't but I can't upload any new

I don't see mine on mobile. Once I was on reg and was shocked. My avitar was made for me from the tread and I had forgotten how much I loved it!

The point is, don't worry if you don't see it others do.

What browser are you using?
I cannot see yours either....on Firefox pr Waterfox.

But I can see you on Opera.

I'm having this same problem. Went to my uploaded pics and have the same problem there. No pics. Went to the last page in the funny pics thread and no pics on the last page, but any page before the last page is fine all the pics are there.

My avi is gone as well. All I get is a circle symbol with a slash in it.

Your Avi took a while to populate. But, the pic in your post is the first one I've seen this evening.

I'm on firefox and having the same problem. Some avatars aren't showing. Also, some pics aren't.

Use Chrome, be free of problems.

It shows up for me and doesn't lag.

Make sure browser is up to date. You should change the picture though. It creeps me out!

I'm using Chrome and I am having the same issues this morning.

I think they need to do a full reboot on the ATS servers. There are many of us that cannot see pictures. What is strange, if I get on mobile...some of the pictures show up.

I dont see my photos or avatar on mobile since last night....

Reasons are....?

I am using Chrome and have been having issues for days. I cannot see most pictures posted in a thread and many of the avatars, including mine, are not showing.

I have tried 4 different browsers 3 different computers (windows 7 & windows 10). None of them work

When I am on my mobile I can see some but not all

More irritating is not that its doing this for some of us...but WHY is it and how did it happen....and why to just some....and how do we rectify it????

How large is your image folder? Mine is HUGE. I wonder if that is what the difference is. I have TONS of gifs and most of my regular pics are the max size.

I'm afraid that the database is becoming corrupt. It's possible that a reboot would flush everything but not guaranteed. What worries me is how quickly it seems to be spreading to other members. This is why I am asking for the reboot. I am hoping we can reverse it instead of it spreading like it is now

All our images are hosted on a global CDN (content delivery network) and don't rely on the server or database for display. If you're not seeing images, try a forced-refresh of the page and/or clearing your browser's cache.


Also: make sure you're on WWW.abovetopsecret.com (not just abovetopsecret.com). While we try to redirect the "naked" domain to the "www" domain, some browsers are not responding to that for some reason.

Thanks SO. I have tried 3 different computers (2 running windows 10, 1 running windows 7) and nothing fixes. I have cleared cache, history, flushed everything....still nothing
