What would it take to take all firearms from all US citizens?

With all the talk of firearm bans, registries and confiscation, what would it take to remove each and every fire arm in the US from civilian hands.

I am talking logistics of removal, repercussions, social changes and Geo political changes.

It would seem this task would take a long time to accomplish. The estimated US firearm count is 270 million. This is a subject that came up quite often when I was working, and the debates were very interesting.

In practical terms, it would take every law enforcement officer in the country going house to house non-stop for several years.

Simply put,
It can't be done, it won't be done.

We won't allow it.

Nothing short of Bloody Civil War. I've seen what happens when peoples have their guns confiscated. Nothing good.

The National Guard, active duty military, Police, and armed Federal agencies as well as a U.N. "Peacekeeping" force on a large scale.

Get ready for some high level politicians actually planning this.

Don't think for a second that somebody doesn't have a plan.

I doubt Q would be first on their list... by then the war will already be in full swing with Martial Law declared across the board. So you either take the fight to them or try and survive in the woods.

Thats exactly what they did in Iraq specifically in Fallujah.

Depends on how many of their own casualties the force trying to take them away are prepared to deal with,because they will lose many if they try it.

Our military is made up of our sons and daughters. This gets nowhere fast.
