Hi there ATS,

Last night I came across a really spooky paranormal show set in Shepardstown, WV USA. The show starts off with the town's sheriff explaining how something needs to be done with the rise if 911 calls of strange appearances and happenings in the home or workplace. The Sheriff gets together a team to help investigate... but not only investigate, they do a bit of ghost whispering as well, trying to get the trapped or lost spirits to go to the other side... or into the light.

I like this show because, real or not, stuff happens and is ''captured'' on recordings and devices.
Season 1 episode 1,

Article with spoilers

Welcome to America's most haunted town.

Happy summer ATS!

a reply to: zazzafrazz sorry!😊 I think they do the weekly catchup of the last week's show before the regularly scheduled show... if that helps... it is a good one though!

It was cool. Seems like the more they poke around, the more the activity picks up.

a reply to: Skid Mark I wonder if you set out to purposely find ghost's your more likely to find them especially if they want you too... for some reason/reasons, the ghosts in Shepherdstown seem to be extremely active and perhaps want to be recognized.
Thanks for replying, I'm going to try to see how the season plays out.😊

a reply to: Night Star I'm so glad your going to watch the show! If you feel like talking about an episode... I'll be here!
The history is definitely interesting and I'm glad they go into it and find correlations between the ghostly activity and the town history... they definitely do a good job telling a ghost story... not just proving that ghosts are there.

I love the actress, Vera Farmiga, in The Conjuring 2 and would love to see it just for her acting, but shivers... it looks too scary... and based on real happenings? Yikes!
I used to watch a show about folks retelling their ghost stories and I loved it but one morning after having watched the show, it was still dark out and a branch touched my shoulder and I screamed out! I had to stop watching that show, lol.

Man West Virginia sure has a lot of creepy places. This one is too far from me to explore though. bummer.

Lake Shanee is only about 15 minutes from me

MothMan is about 3 hours and a very neat town to explore

Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum is about 2 1/2 hours and it awesome!!! I have been but wanna do an over night!!!

West Virginia penitentiary about 4 1/2 hours from me. They have amazing Halloween tours!!!

These are just a FEW of the highlights!!!!!

a reply to: Martin75 Thanks for all of the cool links...I'm going to read them more in depth after some zzzz's.
Not sure I would be brave enough to do any thing at night in those places... but if you do you should post about your experiences!
You could do a whole thread on WV! I'd love to know more about the spooky history of the whole state and maybe in the future you could do a thread about your personal experiences.
Thank you so much I look forward to reading the links!
