Setting their sights low, the campaign of presumptive 2016 GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump sent out an “emergency” email Saturday morning with a goal of raising $100,000 by the end of the day — for a campaign that is expected to cost in the hundreds of millions. With the Clinton campaign launching a multi-million dollar ad blitz at Trump in the wake of his ill-timed comments on the Orlando shooting, the Trump campaign is making an appeal to Republican donors at the same time that the party appears to be shunning him.

This seems kinda tacky. A billionaire begging for money from his supporters for a measly 100k.

According to the email, “Right now we’re facing an emergency goal of $100,000 to help get our ads on the air. We need your contribution by 11:59 P.M. tonight,”

I guess his loyal supporter better hurry.

Perhaps it's my CT guts telling me this a harbinger forecasting the end of Donald's campaign.

He's basically finished with the primary campaign. Now comes the expensive part. He could easily fund the primary campaign by using his money wisely as he did. No way he's going to be able to pull that off for the general (and he never said he would either)

Obama's campaign ended up going over 1 billion

Clinton is projected to bring in close to 2 billion

Even for a billionaire, that is a lot of keep up with. So no, it's not weird for him to start raising contributions now. He probably should have started sooner, tbh.

Yeah, we all know, it's a bad thing, everyone knows it's bad. Point is, this isn't about her and Trump always bragged about how he's self funding and spent less than any other candidate. But here we have his campaign scrounging for a 100 grand? Are his supporters no longer donating to him?

Not 1 link to any outside sources at Rawstory?

Usually that is a big red flag for BS.

You do know trump can get that in loans easily if he wants, and after pay it back easily too. Grasp at them straws.

There are some very passionate and loyal Trump supporters on ATS. I wonder how many of them
will pony up and contribute.

Topic is Trump. Stop diverting.

As to the OP, the Trump campaign is not in trouble. This is Raw Story, a known statist-humanist rag, spewing propaganda.

He's using buzzwords like "emergency" to manipulate the mindless masses into sending him money. It's nothing new, nor is it indicative of financial distress.

Again, it's Raw Story jumping on a non-issue and spinning it into propaganda.

And a rather sophomoric attempt, at that.

Trump only donated 318k to his campaign in the primaries. There was no self-funding.

Not to mention there isn't even a screen grab photo of the email?

They have my email address and oddly enough nothing in my inbox this morning!

Yet these same people who use Rawstory as a source raise holy hell when someone uses Infowars as a source.

You're delusional. Raising money for an expensive campaign is nothing new.

You're so desperate that it's almost depressing.

It's a #ing joke.

People still go on and on about how "X or Y represents the average American."

Really? It's amazing at how much money gets squandered for television advertisements and the likes. It's honestly really pathetic and it goes across the board.

It doesn't matter "who," it is in my opinion - it's a downright shame.

(I'm not a Hillary nor Obummer nor Bernie support so let's cross that out off the start)

The way I see it - if one must spend BILLIONS advertising for a political campaign.... they're more interested in advertising than politics.

Call me what you will but the staggering amount of funds that have gone into "scathing attack advertisements," or whatever the Hell its referred to as nowadays (political poop-slinging) could be used for much, much more pragmatic things.

Just goes to show the brazenly clear presidential (s)election/auction system. Those with the most amount of disposable income can afford to buy their way into the WH and other prominent positions of government.

All around - it makes me want to puke.

All of those link to the ONE CNN article.

And CNN, like rawstory, give no links to anything.

You would figure CNN could link the e-mail.

I will wait for further 'proof' before I believe this.
