I used to be one. I had a very lhp approach, along with some stuff garnered from Wicca, like the use of candles for example. A lot of folks over look
folk magic, probably because its a do it yourself kind of thing. Best for experienced practitioners. Anyway, I don't do that anymore. It sure was
interesting though. Surprising, even. I miss those days. I still know a few people that practice various pagan faiths, including a devout wiccan, and
an odinist golden dawn member. A lot of folks used to be just intrigued by my broad knowledge of the subject, and the unique methods I used. I had
never realized just how large and vibrant the pagan community is where I live, until friends of friends of friends would begin discussing the subject
at what seemed to be every social function I was invited to. Sometimes a guy just wants to drink around a bonfire, or focus on the fishing. I didn't
mind, really. I just never was so social and open, with new friends anyway. Here in the buckle of the bible belt, it is very surprising just how many
people, often those who live in less populated areas, actually practice some sort of witchcraft or pagan faith. A person can expect to defend thier
beliefs, no matter what they are around here. It can be pretty exhausting, especially for a Jewish ex Christian minister who practiced witchcraft. You
get the 3rd degree from all sides, but that's another topic. So, yeah, I've met a few.
