FWIW, my mom had lymphoma that we treated with chemo. She's still with me, and has never had mental issues. In fact, she is one of 2 people on this planet that I will seek out to solicit advice from.

That is literally the definition of a strawman.
If you read all my posts in this thread, you will see that i have good reason to believe that most GP's "don't know jack" based on the incorrect diagnosis of both my mother and myself for over a period of 20 years.
Still a bit of a stretch to think that I'm somehow advocating that everyone stops going to the doctors and should google the symptoms themselves.
But if that's where your logic lead to then fair enough, who am I to judge?
